What backpack for Ryanair and Wizz Air? Dimensions and tested models

Free cabin baggage on Ryanair and Wizz Air has exactly the same dimensions: 40 × 30 × 20 cm. It must fit under the seat in front of you. Wizz Air adds a limit of 10 kg, Ryanair does not specify a weight limit. One well-chosen backpack will serve both airlines.

The problem is that backpack descriptions provide dimensions in different orders, and at the gate, there is a metal frame and an employee who does not discuss. A mistake costs up to £70 for checking baggage in the hold.

Below you will find a table of dimensions for both airlines, an explanation of why a backpack with «too large» dimensions still passes, and a list of models from our offer that have dimensions confirmed by the manufacturer.

Dimensions of cabin baggage — Ryanair and Wizz Air in one table

Let’s start with what is free.

    Ryanair Wizz Air
    Free baggage under the seat 40 × 30 × 20 cm 40 × 30 × 20 cm
Weight limit not specified 10 kg
    Paid baggage to the locker 55 × 40 × 20 cm 55 × 40 × 23 cm
Weight limit for paid baggage 10 kg 10 kg
    Service name Priority WIZZ Priority

    Two things are worth remembering.

The free dimension is identical in both lines. This is a result of standardization in Europe and greatly simplifies shopping: you don’t need a separate backpack for Ryanair and a separate one for Wizz.

Paid baggage already differs. Wizz Air allows 23 cm in depth, Ryanair only 20 cm. A cabin suitcase purchased for Wizz Air may not pass at Ryanair — this is the most common trap when buying larger baggage.

    Why does a backpack 40 × 20 × 25 cm fit in a frame 40 × 30 × 20

This question comes up most often and the answer is less obvious than it seems.

Many cabin backpacks have dimensions 40 × 20 × 25 cm in their name. The limit is 40 × 30 × 20 cm. You look at this and see 25 cm where the regulations say 20 cm. It seems like a discrepancy.

And yet such a backpack passes. The reason is simple: the frame at the gate is just a regular rectangular prism, not a set of walls assigned to specific sides of the backpack. You can insert it rotated.

Just arrange both sets of numbers from largest to smallest:

    Largest Middle Smallest
    Backpack 40 cm 25 cm 20 cm
    Frame 40 cm 30 cm 20 cm
    Verdict 40 ≤ 40 ✅ 25 ≤ 30 ✅ 20 ≤ 20 ✅

Each dimension of the backpack is less than or equal to the corresponding dimension of the frame. The backpack fits only when rotated 90 degrees from how you intuitively try to insert it.

Tip: At the gate, insert the backpack into the frame vertically, with the longer side down. If you try to push it in «flat,» you may hit that wall it won’t pass through, even though the backpack meets the limit.

The order of dimensions in the product description is a remnant of an older version of the regulations when Ryanair listed the limit as 40 × 20 × 25 cm. The set of numbers itself hasn’t changed; the order in the regulations has.

How much can realistically fit in a 20-liter backpack

Twenty liters sounds abstract, so let’s translate it into the contents of a weekend trip:

    • Two changes of clothes plus underwear for three days
    • Toiletry bag with liquids in containers up to 100 ml
    • 14–15 inch laptop in a dedicated compartment
    • Charger, cables, power bank
    • Rain jacket rolled at the bottom
    • Water bottle in the side pocket

This is a realistic range for a three- or four-day trip without laundry. For a week, it will be tight unless you plan to do laundry on-site.

What you won’t fit: spare shoes besides those on your feet, a thick winter jacket, and a hard toiletry bag. On a winter flight, the thickest items are simply worn on top of each other.

Attention: The 10 kg limit with Wizz Air also applies to free baggage. A 20-liter backpack filled with clothes rarely exceeds 7 kg, but with a laptop, power bank, and a bottle of water, it can approach the limit.

    Cabin backpacks in our offer

The following models have dimensions confirmed by the manufacturer and declared compliance with the requirements of both airlines.

    [hs_products ids=»120015,120016,120017,114366″ cols=»4″ title=»Cabin backpacks Ryanair and Wizz Air»]

It is worth saying directly: these are the only models in our offer with confirmed cabin dimensions. We have over a thousand other items in the category of bags and backpacks, but manufacturers do not declare compliance with airline limits for them.

We will not guess. With a penalty of around £70 for a mistake at the gate, suggesting a backpack «that will probably fit» would be unfair.

Both models have the same dimensions, the same capacity, and the same set of solutions in the manufacturer’s description. The differences come down to two things: available colors and the declared diagonal of the laptop.

    Feature Defender S50 Defender S40
    Dimensions 40 × 20 × 25 cm 40 × 20 × 25 cm
    Capacity 20 l 20 l
Laptop pocket up to 15.6″ ✅ (diagonal not specified)
    Material hybrid, moisture-resistant hybrid, moisture-resistant
    Luggage handle strap ✅ ✅
Side pocket for bottle ✅ ✅
Shaped back and straps ✅ ✅
Colors black, olive, powder pink black

If you carry a 15-inch laptop or larger, choose S50 — it is the only one of the two that explicitly states the diagonal. For smaller devices, the color is the deciding factor.

What to pay attention to when choosing

The dimension alone is not everything. Three things determine whether the backpack will work in practice.

Stiffness of the structure. A soft backpack can be compressed in a frame, while a hard one won’t forgive overloading. On the other hand, a soft one offers less protection for the laptop. A compromise is models with a reinforced back panel and soft sides.

Depth expansion. Many travel backpacks have a zippered compartment that adds a few centimeters of depth. This is convenient when traveling by car but can be a killer at the gate — once unzipped, the backpack no longer meets the limit. If you buy such a model, remember to fly with the compartment folded.

Access to the laptop. Security control requires removing the laptop from the luggage. An externally opening compartment saves unpacking the entire backpack at the conveyor belt.

Additionally, there’s something easy to forget: the backpack goes under the seat, not above your head. A height of 40 cm is the maximum, but in practice, the less it protrudes towards your legs, the more comfortably you fly.

    Backpack or cabin suitcase?

With a free limit of 40 × 30 × 20 cm, the answer is clear: backpack.

A hard suitcase of these dimensions exists, but it has two disadvantages. First, the wheels and handle take up a few centimeters of usable depth — the declared 20 liters turns into a real 14–15. Second, the rigid shell does not forgive: if the suitcase is one centimeter too large, you won’t be able to squeeze it into the frame.

The backpack makes better use of the limit because the soft sides provide a margin, and the lack of wheels means that the entire volume is available for packing. Plus, you have free hands at the airport.

A cabin suitcase only starts to make sense with paid luggage — with a limit of 55 × 40 × 20 cm, the wheels are no longer a problem because there is clearly more volume.

How to measure the backpack you already have

Before you buy a new one, check the one that’s in the closet. You need a regular measuring tape and five minutes.

Measure the packed backpack, not the empty one. An empty backpack is flat and fits everywhere. A packed one grows in depth by several centimeters, and this dimension usually determines rejection at the gate.

Write down three numbers: height, width, and depth at the thickest point. Include everything that sticks out — side pockets with a bottle, buckles, rolled-up chest strap.

Then arrange your three numbers from largest to smallest and compare with the arranged limit: 40, 30, 20. If each of your numbers is less than or equal to the corresponding one, the backpack will pass.

Tip: Don’t trust the manufacturer’s declaration without checking. Dimensions in descriptions are usually given for an empty backpack without side pockets.

How to pack 20 liters to make it enough

A few techniques that realistically increase capacity without changing the backpack.

Rolling instead of folding. Rolled-up shirts and pants take up less space and wrinkle less. The difference when packing for a week is one additional change of clothes.

Heaviest against the back. Place the laptop and shoes as close to your back as possible, at the bottom. The backpack carries better and sticks out less, which matters when putting it in a frame.

Socks in shoes. The inside of the shoes is a volume that travels empty anyway.

Cosmetics in containers up to 100 ml, in one transparent bag. This is a safety control requirement, and at the same time a packing discipline: the bag has a specific size and limits how much you can take.

The thickest things on you. A jacket, a sweatshirt, and the heaviest shoes worn do not count towards your luggage. When flying to a cooler climate, this is the simplest way to reclaim a few liters.

Common mistakes that cost at the gate

Counting the bag or pouch separately. The free limit is one piece. A backpack plus a small bag counts as two, and the staff has the right to charge a fee. Hide the bag in the backpack before boarding.

Jacket draped over the shoulder. Outerwear carried in hand usually does not count towards the limit, but a shopping bag from the airport does. Stuff the items purchased after security into your backpack.

Power bank in checked luggage. This is not only a matter of fees but also of safety regulations: power banks must travel in carry-on luggage, never in the hold. The capacity limit is usually 100 Wh, which is about 27,000 mAh — a typical 10,000 mAh power bank fits with a huge margin.

Open compartment. Described above — the most common reason for rejecting a backpack that «always passed before.»

One organizational tip: instead of carrying three chargers, take a USB-C adapter or hub and one power supply. The saved space can be better used for clothes, and fewer cables mean fewer things to take out during security checks.

What else to take in your carry-on

A few items that take up little space but can save your trip.

    Equipment Purpose Note
10,000 mAh power bank Airports rarely have free outlets Only in carry-on luggage
USB-C hub or adapter One power supply instead of three Saves space and time during checks
Short cable 30 cm Charging in the seat pocket Long cables get tangled under the seat
Document case Passport and boarding passes in one place Reduces wait time at the gate

The power bank deserves a separate mention because it is subject to a strict rule: it can never go in checked luggage. Even if you pay extra for a suitcase in the hold, the power bank stays with you.

    Summary

The most important things to remember:

    • Free baggage on Ryanair and Wizz Air has the same dimensions: 40 × 30 × 20 cm — one backpack is enough for both airlines
    • Wizz Air adds a limit of 10 kg, Ryanair does not specify the weight of free baggage
    • Paid baggage already differs: 55 × 40 × 20 cm on Ryanair, 55 × 40 × 23 cm on Wizz Air
    • A backpack of 40 × 20 × 25 cm fits in the frame — the set of three numbers matters, not their order
    • The penalty at the gate reaches 70 pounds, which is a multiple of the price of a good backpack
    • Watch out for expandable compartments and for adding a second piece of luggage

Airline regulations can change, so it’s worth checking the airline’s current website before your flight. The dimensions listed above are valid as of August 2026.

    FAQ — frequently asked questions

What are Ryanair’s cabin baggage dimensions in 2026?

Free personal baggage is 40 × 30 × 20 cm and must fit under the seat. With the Priority service, a second piece of baggage with dimensions of 55 × 40 × 20 cm and a weight of up to 10 kg can be placed in the overhead compartment.

Do Wizz Air and Ryanair have the same baggage dimensions?

Free baggage yes — both airlines specify 40 × 30 × 20 cm. Paid baggage already differs: Wizz Air allows 55 × 40 × 23 cm, while Ryanair allows 55 × 40 × 20 cm. Wizz Air additionally limits free baggage to 10 kg.

    Will a backpack 40 × 20 × 25 cm pass in Ryanair?

Yes. When sorted by size from largest, the backpack measures 40, 25, and 20 cm, and the frame measures 40, 30, and 20 cm — each dimension fits within its corresponding side. It just needs to be placed in turned, with the longer side down.

How much does it cost to check baggage at the gate?

In 2026, the fee reaches 70 pounds per piece, depending on the route and carrier. This is a multiple of the price of a backpack that meets the requirements, so checking the dimensions before departure pays off immediately.

Can a power bank be carried in hand luggage?

Yes, and only there — regulations prohibit carrying power banks in checked baggage. The limit is usually 100 Wh, which is about 27,000 mAh, so typical models of 10,000 and 20,000 mAh fit without any problem.

Does the weight count towards Wizz Air’s free baggage?

Yes, Wizz Air specifies a limit of 10 kg for free baggage under the seat. Ryanair does not specify weight for the free piece, but the baggage must physically fit in the frame and under the seat.

Google Pixel Watch 5 – specifications, price, and release

Google Pixel Watch 5 will debut on August 12, 2026, at the Made by Google event, alongside the Pixel 11 series. The watch returns in two sizes: 41 and 45 mm. The biggest change inside is 3 GB of RAM instead of 2 GB and Wear OS 7 with Gemini. Prices start at 419 EUR, which is approximately 1,800 PLN.

If you’ve been postponing the purchase of an Android smartwatch for a few weeks, you’ve made a good decision. The fifth generation of the Google watch is practically detailed in leaks: we know the battery capacities, charging times, the complete set of sensors, and the prices of all four variants.

Below you will find the full specification, a price table in PLN, a comparison with the Pixel Watch 4, and the answer to the question that every owner of the predecessor asks: will your bands and glasses fit.

Note: This article was created before the official premiere and is based on leaks and materials that have leaked from sales channels. We will confirm the data on August 12.

Three positions from this table deserve a comment. Dual-frequency GPS is responsible for the accuracy of the track in the city, between tall buildings. UWB (ultra-wideband) is precise close-range location, used among others for unlocking the car.

The third is satellite SOS, which is a call for help via satellite outside the range of the cellular network. In Poland, the function will work if Google makes it available in our market.

A thickness of 12.3 mm is exactly the same as in its predecessor. The case has not grown by a millimeter, which has very specific consequences for accessories; we will return to this below.

Our advice: Before you order the watch, check accessories for Google Pixel Watch at homescreen.pl. It’s worth having the strap and glass from day one, not after the first scratch.

What changes compared to Pixel Watch 4?

Let’s put it bluntly: Pixel Watch 5 is an iteration, not a generational leap. The same processor, the same case, the same screen. The memory changes, the battery increases by a few percent, and a new version of the system appears.

Parametr Pixel Watch 5 Pixel Watch 4
    Procesor Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Snapdragon W5 Gen 2
    RAM 3 GB 2 GB
    Pamięć 64 GB 32 GB
    Bateria 41 mm 332 mAh 325 mAh
    Bateria 45 mm 465 mAh 455 mAh
    Czas pracy do 30 h / 40 h do 30 h / 40 h
Wymiary koperty 12,3 mm 12,3 mm
System Wear OS 7.0 Wear OS 6 (aktualizacja do 7.0)
Cena startowa 399 USD 349 USD

Wear OS 7 trafi zresztą do czwórki w zwykłej aktualizacji.

Za to cena rośnie o 50 USD. Google nie tłumaczy dlaczego; najprawdopodobniej chodzi o podwójną pamięć i rosnące koszty komponentów.

    Bateria i ładowanie — 30 albo 40 godzin

Wybór rozmiaru to przede wszystkim wybór wytrzymałości. Różnica sięga dziesięciu godzin, czyli w praktyce jednej pełnej nocy ze śledzeniem snu.

Size Battery Standard mode Power saving mode
    41 mm 332 mAh up to 30 h up to 48 h
    45 mm 465 mAh up to 40 h up to 72 h

Charging times are the same for both versions:

    • 50% in about 15 minutes
    • 80% in 25–30 minutes
    • 100% in 45–60 minutes

This is a good result for a watch. A quarter of an hour in the shower is enough to last until the evening. And indeed, in short top-ups, the Pixel Watch is most conveniently used with sleep tracking.

The 45 mm version with power saving mode reaches 72 hours. You can take it for a weekend in the mountains without a charger.

Health and sensors — what the new Google watch measures

The sensor set is complete and matches what the predecessor offers:

    • Optical heart rate sensor with notifications for irregular heart rhythm
    • SpO2 — blood oxygen saturation
    • ECG — single-lead electrocardiogram
    • cEDA — continuous measurement of skin conductance, stress response indicator
    • Skin temperature sensor — night measurement
    • Altimeter, barometer, and compass

The greatest value of this set is cEDA. The sensor detects microscopic changes in sweating that the body generates under stress before you consciously notice them. In practice, the watch can ask, «Did something just upset you?» at the moment when something really upset you.

Google Pixel Watch 5 with running coaching screen showing pace and time
Running coaching with real-time pace suggestions. Source: Evan Blass / Leakmail

The whole thing is tied together by Wear OS 7 with Gemini. The assistant works on the watch, so questions like «How much did I sleep this week compared to last week?» do not require reaching for the phone.

Note: EKG and heart rate measurement functions are wellness tools, not medical devices in the sense of diagnostics. An incorrect reading is a signal to visit a doctor, not a diagnosis.

Price of Google Pixel Watch 5 and release date in Poland

Prices have leaked in full, for all four combinations of size and connectivity:

Variant Price EUR Estimated price PLN
    41 mm, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi 419 EUR approx. 1,800 zł
    45 mm, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi 449 EUR approx. 1,930 zł
41 mm, LTE 519 EUR approx. 2,230 zł
45 mm, LTE 549 EUR approx. 2,360 zł

Prices in złotys are an approximate conversion; the Polish Google price list can deviate from a simple euro conversion.

The release calendar looks like this:

    • August 12, 2026 — presentation at the Made by Google event and start of pre-sales
    • August 20, 2026 — first deliveries to customers

On the same day, the entire Google Pixel 11 series debuts. If you plan to replace your phone and watch at the same time, it’s worth waiting for the pre-sale bundles; Google traditionally adds a strap or a discount to them.

The surcharge for LTE is 100 EUR, which is about 430 zł. It only makes sense if you realistically leave your phone at home: while running, cycling, or swimming. Otherwise, the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi version does exactly the same thing.

Do accessories from Pixel Watch 4 fit Pixel Watch 5?

Most likely yes, and this is the most important practical information in this article. The case retains the sizes of 41 and 45 mm and a thickness of 12.3 mm, just like its predecessor.

    Straps

In Google watches, the compatibility of the strap is determined by the case size, not the generation. The mounting has not changed since the first Pixel Watch.

    • Straps 41 mm are interchangeable between Pixel Watch 1, 2, 3, 4, and most likely 5
    • Straps 45 mm fit Pixel Watch 3, 4, and most likely 5 (the 45 mm size appeared only in the third generation)

This is even visible in the product names in the store: Bizon Strap Watch Silicone 41 mm for 26 PLN is described as compatible with four generations at once. You can find the full selection in the watch straps category.

    Cases, glasses, and films

Here caution is greater, as cases and glasses replicate the shape of the glass and the placement of the button and crown with an accuracy of tenths of a millimeter. However, since the dimensions of the case do not change, accessories from Watch 4 should fit without reservations.

    Accessory Brand Sizes Price
Case+Glass Watch (case with glass) Bizon 41 and 45 mm 25 zł
Glass Watch Edge Hybrid (hybrid glass) Bizon 41 and 45 mm 19 zł
Watch Film HydroFlex (film, 3 pieces) Bizon 41 and 45 mm 25 zł
Hydrofilm (hydrogel film) GrizzGlass 41 and 45 mm 11,99 zł
Strap Watch Silicone (silicone strap) Bizon 41 and 45 mm 26 zł
Strap Watch Aura (steel strap) Bizon 41 and 45 mm 69 zł

Our choice: Bizon Case+Glass Watch for 25 zł: a case and glass in one, so the edge of the case and the convex screen are protected together. If you prefer to keep the original look of the watch, take just the Bizon Glass Watch Edge Hybrid glass for 19 zł.

It is worth knowing the limitation of the offer: accessories for the Pixel Watch in our store come from two manufacturers, Bizon Mobile and GrizzGlass. This is a narrower selection than with the iPhone or Galaxy; Spigen and ESR do not make cases for Google watches. However, prices are low, and the complete protection package costs 40 zł.

The full range awaiting compatibility confirmation can be found in the Google Pixel Watch 4 category.

Is it worth waiting for the fifth generation?

The answer depends on what you have on your wrist.

You have Pixel Watch 4 — there’s no point. For a starting price that is 50 USD higher, you get an extra gigabyte of RAM and twice the music storage. Everything else remains unchanged.

You have Pixel Watch 2 or 3 — yes, it’s worth it. You skip two generations of sensors, get a screen that is twice as bright compared to the second generation, and a realistically longer battery life.

Buying your first Android watch — wait until August 12, even if you ultimately buy the four. The launch of the five is the moment when the Pixel Watch 4 noticeably drops in price, and accessories for it are already available immediately.

    Summary

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is a calm, predictable update without fireworks, and that’s not a criticism. The key facts:

    • Launch on August 12, 2026, deliveries from August 20, along with the Pixel 11 series
    • Two sizes: 41 mm (332 mAh, up to 30 h) and 45 mm (465 mAh, up to 40 h)
    • 3 GB RAM instead of 2 GB and 64 GB storage, real improvement in Gemini fluidity
    • The same Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 and the same 12.3 mm case as in Pixel Watch 4
    • Prices starting from 419 EUR (approx. 1,800 PLN) to 549 EUR (approx. 2,360 PLN) for 45 mm with LTE
    • Accessories from Pixel Watch 4 should fit, as the case size determines compatibility, not the generation

    FAQ — frequently asked questions

When is the launch of Google Pixel Watch 5?

The launch will take place on August 12, 2026, at the Made by Google event, along with the Pixel 11 series. Pre-orders start the same day, and the first deliveries to customers are scheduled for August 20, 2026.

How much does the Google Pixel Watch 5 cost?

Prices start at 419 EUR (about 1,800 PLN) for the 41 mm version with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The 45 mm variant costs 449 EUR, and the LTE versions are priced at 519 and 549 EUR, respectively. The Polish pricing of Google may differ from the euro conversion.

What are the differences between Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Watch 4?

Three things: 3 GB of RAM instead of 2 GB, 64 GB of storage instead of 32 GB, and Wear OS 7 instead of the sixth version. The processor, case, display, and declared battery life remain unchanged. The battery increases by about 2%.

Do the bands from Pixel Watch 4 fit Pixel Watch 5?

Most likely yes. In Google watches, compatibility is determined by the case size, not the generation. The 41 mm bands have been interchangeable since the first Pixel Watch, and the 45 mm bands since the third. The fifth maintains both sizes.

How long does the battery last in Pixel Watch 5?

The 41 mm version lasts up to 30 hours, and the 45 mm up to 40 hours in standard mode. In power-saving mode, it lasts 48 and 72 hours, respectively. Charging to 50% takes about 15 minutes.

Is it worth buying Pixel Watch 4 instead of waiting for the fifth?

If price is important to you, then yes. The differences boil down to memory and system version, and the Pixel Watch 4 will drop in price after the successor’s release. You can buy accessories for the fourth model immediately, including cases and glasses starting from 19 PLN, and the Google Pixel Watch 5 has the same case, so you won’t lose anything.

  • What case to choose for Huawei P30 Pro?

Protecting your phone from damage with a case yields great results. The Huawei P30 Pro is still quite new, and ensuring its protection is very important. This way, all the glass elements used in the device will not get damaged even during falls, and the device will maintain its stunning appearance for a longer time. It is really worth considering such solutions and taking advantage of such possibilities in your situation, as they can yield excellent results. We present how to choose the best case for your phone and what to pay particular attention to when selecting such a product that will meet the expectations of all customers.

Cases offer different degrees of protection

The cases available on the market for the Huawei P30 Pro can offer very varied degrees of protection for the device itself. Some cases focus more on improving the appearance of the device. Others, on the other hand, are very thin and mainly protect the smartphone from scratches that may appear on its surface. There are also products that are very solid. They significantly increase the size of the phone but provide very solid protection against all kinds of damage. It is worth considering what type of protection is needed. A rugged case will not be useful if the phone is not exposed to very serious damage. In such a situation, even a relatively thin case will be sufficient to protect the specific device. A case offering a lower degree of protection will not significantly increase the size of the phone, making it much more pleasant to use the device. It will be really very comfortable for everyone.

The case can refresh the smartphone’s appearance

For those who bought the Huawei P30 Pro right after its release, the appearance of the device itself may have become boring. In such a situation, it is worth considering changing it by purchasing a case. By choosing the right case, you can give the device a second life. The phone can once again look stunning and impress everyone. The cases available on the market come in many varied forms, and it is easy to find a solution that meets the expectations of all customers and makes sense and is beneficial. For women, many manufacturers have prepared cases with elements such as glitter or marble imitation. This way, with such a case, you can clearly change the appearance of the device. You can make the phone look more exclusive. Men have access to a very wide selection of cases that imitate natural leather or other premium materials. A Huawei P30 Pro in such a case will look fantastic and will make a very good impression on everyone. It is really worth considering such a device and taking advantage of all its possibilities. Choosing the best equipment that will meet the requirements and expectations of customers will make a lot of sense. Cases imitating premium materials are not very expensive to purchase, which is also a significant advantage and makes it worthwhile to consider opting for such solutions.

    Recommended models

We present the most interesting cases available on the market that are worth considering. Here are what we believe are the most noteworthy cases on the market.

    Ringke Fusion-X

Our first suggestion is the rugged Fusion-X case. In this case, the manufacturer opted for a transparent polycarbonate back and quite thick edges. As a result, the smartphone in this case is very effectively protected against damage. The durability of the case is additionally confirmed by numerous tests. Those looking for a very rugged case for their phone should definitely consider this option.

    Spigen Rugged Armor

A case fully made using TPU. The case also guarantees very solid protection but is one of the lighter options available on the market. The durability of the case has also been confirmed by numerous tests. Therefore, if you are looking for a solid case, it is worth considering the options offered by this product.

    Spigen Liquid Crystal

Another suggestion is a case also made from TPU. However, this case stands out because it also has a polycarbonate back. This way, the entire device is protected. However, the small thickness of the case means that it only protects against lighter damage. In the event of falls from very high places, the case may not fulfill its role and not provide effective protection for the device itself.

    Summary

Cases for the Huawei P30 Pro are therefore very easily available on the market, and potential users can choose from many products and solutions. They can find very interesting solutions and products in the offers of the most renowned companies that will be fully tailored to their needs. Taking an interest in such solutions will therefore make a lot of sense and will work great. Considering the possibilities offered by specific cases will yield very good results. The smartphone will have adequate protection, and at the same time, it will look significantly better. A solid case will effectively protect it against all kinds of damage that may occur with such a device.

  • What glass for Galaxy S20?

How to protect the screen of the Galaxy S20?

Do you have the latest Samsung Galaxy S20? Then millions of people envy you for such an excellent device. A beautiful, large, and bright screen, the best cameras, and components better than in many computers. This is a work of art with an unmatched display that almost entirely covers the front of the smartphone. Do you feel proud to own a Samsung? Feel it for as long as possible with screen protectors.

Why should you protect the screen on the Samsung Galaxy S20?

The display on the new Samsung is something wonderful. And let’s be clear – it’s always about the display. It’s thanks to it that you browse and take photos, play your favorite games, and check who liked your post. The large, bright screen with a very high resolution in the S20 model is protected by Gorilla Glass 6, the best that has been created so far. But experience shows that even the toughest glass is no match for coins, keys, or stray grains of sand in your pocket. And that’s why you need screen protection.

Does the screen protector for the Galaxy S20 work with the fingerprint reader?

The fingerprint reader embedded in the screen is a brilliant solution. You can save your thumbprint and index finger, making it easy to unlock your smartphone in any situation. But does that mean you will either have a protected screen or a functioning fingerprint reader? Fortunately, you don’t have to choose, as long as you choose a top-quality protective film. You can find all the best protection methods on our page dedicated to Galaxy S20.

Which film to choose for the Galaxy S20?

The American company Spigen comprehensively cares for the safety of your smartphone. They created the protective film Neo Flex HD, which solves all problems. Its application is very simple, allowing you to ensure that the film perfectly protects the entire screen, including its rounded edges. It is made of polyurethane, a polymer with regenerative properties. But what is more important? That it perfectly protects the screen on the Samsung and is completely neutral for the fingerprint reader. Everything works and is safe. What more could you want?

Or maybe tempered glass for the Galaxy S20?

If you can protect the screen from scratches, then maybe there is something that will protect it from impact and falls? Of course, there is. It’s the tempered glass UV Whitestone Dome Glass – probably the strongest display protection for your phone. If there is something that can save the screen from cracking due to a really strong impact, it is only T-Max UV Glass or Whitestone. These companies are pioneers in the production of UV light-hardened glass.

How important is the display on your new phone? Can you afford to break it? If not, choose the best protective films and the strongest tempered glasses. It is also worth noting that all the accessories mentioned are available for other models. We encourage you to check the offer of glass for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

  • Glass/case for iPhone 11 – which one to choose?

Modele Pro i Pro Max(odpowiednio: następcy iPhone XS i iPhone XS Max) posiadają jeszcze jeden dodatkowy aparat. Zaprezentowane na konferencji przykłady zdjęć i filmów ukazują możliwości rozszerzania scenerii. Nowe obiektywy, szerokokątny i ultraszerokokątny, zwiększają bowiem tradycyjne pole widzenia standardowego aparatu aż czterokrotnie.

Nowy czip i bardziej wydajna bateria

  • What case for Samsung Galaxy S10/Plus/e?

The premiere of the latest devices from Samsung was one of the most important technological events of the past month. The latest smartphones were presented in three versions – Galaxy S10 – the basic option, Galaxy S10e – the budget version, and Galaxy S10 Plus – the option with the best specifications. The devices, thanks to their parameters, immediately gained many fans who probably decided to purchase the version of the smartphone suitable for them. You are probably now wondering what the market has to offer in terms of protecting these phones. The Home Screen store has many diverse proposals dedicated to this series, among which everyone will surely find something for themselves. Below we present an overview and specifications of available Galaxy S10, Plus, and «e» cases.

The first case designed for the heroes of the article is Spigen Crystal Hybrid. This is an ideal solution for those who want to protect their device but do not want the case to interfere too much with its appearance. Thanks to the polycarbonate included, the case prevents the effects of impacts on the back of the smartphone, and thanks to the polyurethane, it perfectly protects the phone from scratches. The product is made with the utmost precision and attention to detail, ensuring hassle-free access to ports. Its greatest asset, however, is its level of protection – despite being a transparent hybrid, its thickness copes excellently with the rigors of daily use.

Another product we have in our offer and can recommend is Spigen Liquid Air. This case is extremely thin, yet it cannot be said that it provides minimal protection for the device. It will be a great solution for everyday use, as it protects the device from scratches, cracks, and dirt. Additionally, thanks to the material from which the case is made (polyurethane), it provides a secure grip and excellent adhesion to the hand. Another advantage of this product is undoubtedly its small thickness, which does not change the comfort of using the smartphone. Interestingly, the case looks as if it is made up of many small triangles, making the device look exceptional.

The next product in our assortment designed for devices from the Samsung Galaxy S10 family is Spigen Liquid Crystal. This is a fully transparent case that will not affect the appearance of the smartphone in any way, while ensuring it is constantly protected from unwanted mechanical damage. Additionally, due to the fact that it is made of TPU (polyurethane), it is extremely pleasant to the touch and perfectly fits the shape of the device. An important feature is also that this case improves the grip of the device in the hand, while preventing accidental slipping of the smartphone from the hand. In our store, in addition to the completely transparent option, there is also a more feminine version with glitter Liquid Crystal Glitter, making the device look exceptional and stunning.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10e Spigen Liquid Crystal Case for Samsung Galaxy S10 Spigen Liquid Crystal Glitter

Spigen Neo Hybrid is another product available in our store, whose main task is to protect devices from the Galaxy S10 series. This case is in a sense «unique» as it consists of a back and a separate frame. The back, made of polyurethane, is very flexible and pleasant to the touch. Additionally, the material prevents the device from slipping out of the hand and absorbs shocks. The frame, on the other hand, is made of polycarbonate, and its main task is to bond the structure and stiffen it. Interestingly, it has been designed in a rather unconventional way, so that when the device is laid flat, a small gap is created between it and the surface, preventing scratches. A huge advantage of this case is also its excellent and extremely precise workmanship. This type of case can be found in our store in many color variants such as: Burgundy, Arctic Silver, Gunmetal, and Midnight Black.

Another case worth noting is Spigen Rugged Armor. Made entirely of polyurethane, this case is not only extremely pleasant to the touch but also perfectly protects the device from scratches, cracks, and dirt. The upper and lower parts of the back are styled to resemble carbon fiber, giving the case a rugged and military character. This is not unfounded, as the Rugged Armor model (like most of the cases presented here) has a military certification of MIL-STD-810.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10e Spigen Rugged Armor

The Spigen Slim Armor case is an ideal solution for those who do not like large, rugged cases, yet want to solidly protect their device. This case, partly made of polyurethane and partly of polycarbonate, will perfectly secure the device from scratches, cracks, and dirt. A characteristic feature of this case is that it is equipped with a stand, which allows for watching movies without the need to hold the smartphone in hand. Moreover, it is worth appreciating the precision with which the product is made, as it provides the user with excellent access to ports and buttons.

It is also worth taking a look at Spigen Thin Fit, which, as the name suggests, is extremely slim, yet despite this, it perfectly protects the device from mechanical damage. Because it is so thin, it allows for a comfortable grip while not interfering with the dimensions of the device. Precise and meticulous workmanship ensures a high level of satisfaction with the product and easy access to the most necessary buttons, ports, etc. Additionally, the matte finish guarantees a secure grip, preventing the smartphone from slipping out of hand.

A very interesting item in our assortment is Spigen Tough Armor. This is a solution dedicated to those who want to solidly protect their device from all kinds of mechanical damage. The case consists of two layers, a polyurethane layer whose task is to absorb shocks and a polycarbonate layer whose task is to strengthen the entire structure. This case is also characterized by the presence of Air Cushion technology, which are air cushions in the corners that provide additional protection in case of falls. Interestingly, the product is also equipped with a stand, allowing you to use your smartphone without holding it in your hands. Additionally, these cases are available in two color variants, including Gunmetal and Black.

  • What are the differences between Xiaomi Mi Band 7 and Smart Band 7 Pro?

Recently, we compared the Mi Band 7 with the older Mi Band 6 model. Today, we will focus on the advanced version of the model, which is the latest Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, and compare it with the basic model of the Mi Smart Band 7.

Xiaomi Mi Band 7 vs Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro
    Appearance

The main difference between the two models is, of course, the appearance. The Mi Smart Band 7 still resembles a so-called «elongated pill,» while the Pro version features, for the first time, a larger rectangular shape, resembling a standard smartwatch. Its dimensions are 44.7 x 28.8 x 11, while the dimensions of the basic version are 46.5 x 20.7 x 12.25.

    Screen

The screen on the Mi Band 7 Pro is a large, rectangular AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.64 and a resolution of 280 x 456 pixels. In the case of the Mi Band 7, it is 192 x 490 pixels, so the Pro version allows for more details to be displayed in much better quality. Both versions of the watch have an Always On Display mode that allows notifications and dates to be displayed at all times. The brightness level in both cases can reach a maximum of 500 nits.
    Battery

It must be admitted that in both cases, the battery level is satisfactory. For reference, the older version, Mi Band 6, had only 125 mAh. The latest model Mi Band 7 now has 180 mAh, while the Pro version has a battery level of as much as 235 mAh.

    Available Features

The most significant difference between the two versions is the introduction of a GPS module in the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro, which can track our traveled route without the need to connect to a phone, as well as the ability to quickly respond to messages. Both bands, however, have all the basic and essential sensors such as a heart rate monitor, pedometer, gyroscope, calorie counter, heart rate, sleep, or stress monitor, and support over 110 sports modes.

    Material

The latest Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro features a metal case (the standard version is made entirely of plastic). It is available in a light gold color and a graphite shade of gray. All of this makes the watch look very modern and can confidently be classified as a premium accessory.
    Price

This is the last issue we need to mention. The Xiaomi Band 7 can be purchased for 249 PLN, while the Pro version is a more expensive purchase, costing 499 PLN. However, this should not surprise us, as the differences between the two versions are quite clear, and it is up to us to decide which model suits our taste and individual needs better.
If you are looking for accessories Mi Band 7 and Smart Band 7 Pro, visit our online store where you will find all the necessary additions such as interchangeable, diverse straps, glasses, and protective films. Thanks to interchangeable straps, you can personalize your Mi Band and completely change its appearance, while protective glass or film will provide protection against scratches and maintain the aesthetic appearance of your watch.

  • What is the best glass to choose for the Galaxy Z Fold 8?

What is the best glass to choose for the Galaxy Z Fold 8?

The best glass for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD (79 zł), a 9H+ tempered glass with an application frame that sticks it perfectly straight. For those on a budget, the best choice is the Bizon Glass Clear (25 zł), and among films, the original is the Samsung Anti-reflecting Film (129 zł). It’s also worth adding a camera cover, e.g., Spigen Optik Pro (75 zł).

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 debuted at the official premiere and immediately became one of the most expensive smartphones on the market. This is a device that practically begs for solid screen protection. A scratch on the outer screen or a cracked lens costs many times more to repair than the price of a good glass.

In this guide, we have clearly gathered the best tempered glasses, films, and camera covers for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 available at homescreen.pl, categorized by brands, prices, and real photos. We also explain the most important rule of protecting the foldable: which screen can have glass applied, and which one never should.

Note: this guide pertains to the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. If you have the larger variant, choose glass from the dedicated category for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, as the screen dimensions differ.

All models can be found in one accessories category for Galaxy Z Fold 8, next to cases and camera shields. Check availability, as the best 2-pack sets sell out quickly.

Which screen in Z Fold 8 to protect with glass and which with film

Galaxy Z Fold 8 has two screens and that changes the rules of the game. Before you buy protection, remember one thing:

    • External screen (cover): this is a rigid, flat panel. Here you apply classic tempered glass. This is the screen that gets the most scratches because you use it with the phone closed.
    • Internal screen (foldable): never apply tempered glass on it. The rigid panel will crack at the fold and may damage the display. Protect the internal screen only with flexible film.

Samsung applies a factory film to the internal screen during production. When it wears out, replace it with a dedicated film for foldables, not glass. The tempered glasses from this ranking are intended for the external screen.

What else to pay attention to when choosing glass for the Galaxy Z Fold 8:

    • Hardness 9H: a standard that protects against keys and sand in your pocket. All glasses in the ranking have it (Samsung film is a separate category of protection).
    • Application frame (EZ Fit / Easy Slide): allows you to apply the glass perfectly straight, without bubbles. Saves nerves with the narrow screen of the foldable.
    • Oleophobic coating: reduces fingerprints and makes cleaning easier.
    • 2-pack set: two glasses at the price of one is a backup in case of a failed application or breakage.
    • Color frame: the version with a black frame masks the edges of the screen and better hides minor mismatches.

Spigen: the best tempered glass for Z Fold 8

Spigen is the number one brand when it comes to screen protection. For the Galaxy Z Fold 8, it has prepared glass with a proprietary application system that solves the biggest problem of foldables, which is uneven adhesion.

    1. Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD (79 zł)

Tempered glass Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD for Galaxy Z Fold 8Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD Z Fold 8 with application frame

Our choice. Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD is glass with AluminaCore technology, hardness of 9H+, and a crystal clear surface without touch delays. The biggest advantage is the EZ Fit Pro frame: you place it on the external screen, lower the glass, and have it perfectly centered, without air bubbles.

The set includes two glasses and two applicators, so the second attempt costs nothing. For 79 PLN, you get the most refined product in the lineup, an unequivocal leader for those who value secure installation and the highest quality surface.

Tip: Tempered glass protects the external screen, but the phone tends to slip from your hand. Pair it with a case for Galaxy Z Fold 8. Full protection costs less than one repair.

Ringke: solid glass with Easy Slide system

Ringke is a proven accessory brand that focuses on convenient installation at a reasonable price. Its offering is a natural competitor to Spigen for those on a budget.

    2. Ringke Cover Display Easy Slide (55 zł)

Ringke Cover Display Easy Slide tempered glass for Galaxy Z Fold 8Ringke Cover Display Easy Slide Z Fold 8 with installation frame

Ringke Cover Display Easy Slide is a 9H tempered glass with a three-layer construction (oleophobic coating, glass, AB layer) with an Easy Slide installation frame. The manufacturer has smoothed the edges so that the glass blends nicely with the external screen.

The package includes two pieces and installation accessories. At 55 zł, it’s a great compromise: almost as convenient to apply as Spigen’s, but at a lower price. A good choice if you don’t want to pay extra for a top brand.

    Samsung: original anti-reflective film

If you care about originality and prefer film over glass, choose Samsung’s accessory. It’s the only option that focuses on reducing glare rather than maximum hardness.

    3. Samsung Anti-reflecting Film (129 zł)

Folia ochronna Samsung Anti-reflecting Film do Galaxy Z Fold 8Samsung Anti-reflecting Film Z Fold 8 antyrefleksyjna dwupak

Samsung Anti-reflecting Film is an original film that protects the screen from scratches and significantly reduces glare. It performs well in sunlight and under artificial light, where the glossy glass surface can strain the eyes.

This is the most expensive option in the comparison (129 zł for a two-pack), but as a film, it is thinner and more flexible than glass. Choose it if you care about a matte, anti-reflective finish and an original Samsung product.

    Bizon: the cheapest screen protection

Bizon is a budget brand that offers decent protection for a fraction of the price of top glasses. For the Z Fold 8, it has two versions: classic transparent and with a black frame.

    4. Bizon Glass Clear (25 zł)

Szkło hartowane Bizon Glass Clear do Galaxy Z Fold 8 przezroczysteBizon Glass Clear Z Fold 8 tafla 9H z powłoką oleofobową

Bizon Glass Clear is the cheapest tempered glass in the comparison. It has a hardness of 9H, a thickness of 0.33 mm, and an oleophobic coating, and in the set, you will find a complete installation kit: wipes, positioning stickers, and a dust absorber.

For 25 zł you get solid, transparent protection for the external screen. This is proof that good glass does not have to cost a fortune, especially when you care about a discreet, fully transparent finish.

    5. Bizon Glass Edge, black frame (25 zł)

Bizon Glass Edge tempered glass for Galaxy Z Fold 8 black frameBizon Glass Edge Z Fold 8 with black 4D frame

Bizon Glass Edge has the same hardness of 9H and thickness of 0.33 mm, but with a black frame and rounded 4D edges. The frame masks the edges of the screen and makes the glass blend better with the black phone case.

Choose it instead of the Clear version if you prefer the edge of the glass to be invisible and minor misalignments during installation to be less noticeable. The price is the same: 25 zł.

Camera covers for Galaxy Z Fold 8

The protruding camera module is the second element that often gets damaged when you lay the phone with the lenses down. A separate camera cover protects the lens glass from scratches and cracks, and costs a fraction of the repair cost for the module.

The glass with AluminaCore technology has a hardness of 9H+, and the maximum light transmission ensures that photos retain their original quality. The application frame, like with screen glass, guarantees precise installation on the lenses.

Ringke Camera Frame combines 9H glass with an aluminum frame that additionally protects the edges of the module. The black print at the edges reduces reflections, and the design is low enough to work with most cases. A reasonable balance between price and quality.

    Bizon Glass Lens (25 zł)

Bizon Glass Lens is the cheapest camera cover (25 zł for a two-pack). Precisely cut glasses with an oleophobic coating protect the lenses from scratches, maintain color temperature, and reduce glare when taking photos with a flash. The best price-to-quality ratio.

Which glass to choose for Galaxy Z Fold 8?

Wybór zależy od tego, co cenisz najbardziej:

    • Najlepsze ogólnie: Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD (79 zł) za pewny montaż z ramką i najwyższą jakość tafli.
    • Najtaniej, przezroczyste: Bizon Glass Clear (25 zł).
    • Z czarną ramką: Bizon Glass Edge (25 zł), gdy wolisz ukryte krawędzie.
    • Wygodny montaż w niższej cenie: Ringke Cover Display Easy Slide (55 zł).
    • Oryginał i mniej odblasków: Samsung Anti-reflecting Film (129 zł).
    • Osłona aparatu: Spigen Optik Pro (75 zł) na topie, Bizon Glass Lens (25 zł) dla oszczędnych.

Wniosek: Dla większości użytkowników najlepszym szkłem do Galaxy Z Fold 8 jest Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD. Ramka aplikacyjna eliminuje krzywe przyklejenie, a dwupak daje zapas.

Glass and camera cover are essential, but full protection for the foldable comes only from a case that secures the hinge and corners. In the accessories category for Galaxy Z Fold 8, you will find cases, glasses, and camera covers all in one place, and in the Galaxy Z Fold section, accessories for other Samsung foldables.

For longer outings, a wireless charger or a power bank will also come in handy. The foldable with a large screen quickly drains the battery with intensive use.

    FAQ: frequently asked questions

What glass is best for Galaxy Z Fold 8?

Overall, the best is Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Pro HD (79 PLN), a 9H+ tempered glass with an application frame that adheres it perfectly straight. For those on a budget, we recommend Bizon Glass Clear (25 PLN).

Can tempered glass be applied to the inner screen of Z Fold 8?

No. Protect the inner screen (foldable) only with a flexible film. Rigid tempered glass will crack at the fold and may damage the panel. Apply glass only to the flat outer screen.

What is better: tempered glass or film?

For the external screen, tempered glass is better because it is harder and more pleasant to the touch. A film (e.g., Samsung Anti-reflecting) works well where you want to reduce glare or on the internal screen where glass cannot be used.

Which is better: hybrid glass or tempered glass?

For the external screen of the Z Fold 8, tempered glass is better because it is harder (9H) and more resistant to scratches. Hybrid glass can be thinner and harder to break, but it offers less protection against scratches. Do not apply either of them to the internal screen; only soft film is suitable there.

How much does glass for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 cost?

Prices start at 25 PLN for Bizon Glass Clear and go up to 129 PLN for the original Samsung Anti-reflecting Film. Spigen glass with an application frame costs 79 PLN, and Ringke costs 55 PLN. Camera covers range from 25 to 75 PLN.

Is it worth buying a camera cover for the Z Fold 8?

Yes. The protruding camera module often gets damaged when you place the phone down with the lenses facing down. A cover costing 25 to 75 PLN protects the lenses from scratches and breakage, while repairing the module costs much more.

Does glass with a black frame fit the Z Fold 8?

Yes. The version with a black frame, like Bizon Glass Edge, masks the edges of the screen and matches better with a black case. The protection is the same as in the transparent version; only the appearance of the edges differs.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Z Fold 8: which one to choose?

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Z Fold 8: which one to choose?

In the battle of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Z Fold 8, both phones share the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, but the Ultra has larger screens (8″ and 6.5″), a 200 MP camera with a telephoto lens, and a slimmer body. The Z Fold 8, on the other hand, is cheaper, lighter, and more portable.

In short: choose the Ultra for the camera and the largest screen, and the Z Fold 8 for the lower price (from 8749 PLN compared to 9599 PLN) and reduced weight. The rest of the specifications are nearly identical.

Samsung showcased both foldables at the Galaxy Unpacked conference on July 22, 2026 (full official specification comparison can be found on Samsung’s website). Pre-orders started the same day, and sales begin in August. This is the first time the Z Fold series gets an Ultra variant, so the question «which one to choose» is particularly relevant this year.

In this comparison of Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra vs Z Fold 8, we break down both phones into their components: screens, performance, cameras, battery, construction, software, and price. At the end, you will find a clear recommendation for whom each one is suitable.

Screens and format: 8 inches vs wider 7.6 inches

This is the first thing you’ll feel in your hand. The Z Fold 8 Ultra has a larger main screen of 8 inches and an external 6.5 inches, while the Z Fold 8 opts for a wider, more square 7.6-inch panel (4:3) and a smaller front of 5.5 inches.

The external screen is the one you use most often on a foldable. Here, the Ultra definitely wins: the 6.5-inch front works like a regular smartphone, without constantly unfolding the phone. The smaller 5.5-inch panel of the Z Fold 8 is convenient for one-handed use, but can feel cramped for longer typing sessions.

When unfolded, both displays are LTPO AMOLED 2X with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. They differ in format: the Z Fold 8 aims for 4:3 ratios that are comfortable for reading and multitasking, while the Ultra simply offers more workspace.

Conclusion: If you primarily use the phone in its folded form, the larger front of the Ultra makes a real difference in everyday comfort. The wider screen of the Z Fold 8 is also great for content and documents.

Format and ergonomics: classic Ultra vs wider Z Fold 8

Besides the diagonal itself, the shape matters. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra maintains the classic, tall and narrow format of a foldable known from previous generations. The Z Fold 8 is a novelty, as it moves towards a wider, more square screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

In practice, this means a different way of using it. The tall Ultra in its folded form resembles a regular, slim smartphone and comfortably fits in the hand and pocket. The wider Z Fold 8 is shorter, making it easier to handle with one hand, but takes up more width space.

When unfolded, the 4:3 format of the Z Fold 8 is great for reading and working with documents, as it is closer to a sheet of paper. The larger 8-inch Ultra, on the other hand, provides the most space for splitting the screen between apps.

Tip: If you often write and read, test both formats live. The difference in screen proportions is noticeable from the first moment, and it is often this, rather than dry specifications, that determines your choice.

Performance: the same processor, the same power

There is no contest here. Both phones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with the same RAM (12 or 16 GB) and the same storage options (256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB in UFS 4.x standard).

In practice, this means identical system fluidity, gaming speed, and multitasking capabilities. Several windows side by side on a large screen, demanding games, heavy graphic applications. Both foldables will handle this just as well.

The only theoretical difference is heat management under prolonged load, as the thinner design of the Ultra has less room for cooling. However, in everyday use, you won’t feel this in any noticeable way.

Cameras: 200 MP with telephoto vs dual set 50 MP

This is the biggest difference between the phones and the most common reason for the extra cost of the Ultra. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a main camera of 200 MP and a dedicated 3x telephoto lens, which you won’t find in the Z Fold 8.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra leads with a set composed of a main 200 MP sensor (f/1.7, OIS), a 50 MP ultra-wide (f/1.9, 120°), and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This is a full-fledged, versatile setup that can handle landscapes, portraits, and close-ups.

To właśnie tam zoom cyfrowy Z Fold 8 zaczyna tracić detale, a optyka Ultry trzyma ostrość.

    • Z Fold 8 Ultra, 200 MP, teleobiektyw 3x, więcej detalu i lepszy zoom optyczny.
    • Z Fold 8, solidny główny 50 MP i ultraszeroki, ale bez teleobiektywu.

Conclusion: If you take a lot of photos, especially with zoom, the Ultra is clearly the better choice. For occasional photos and social media, the Z Fold 8 is more than sufficient.

Battery and charging: a slight advantage for the Ultra

The batteries are similar. The Z Fold 8 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery, while the Z Fold 8 has a slightly smaller 4800 mAh. Both charge wired at 45 W and support wireless charging.

The 200 mAh difference is practically cosmetic. The Ultra theoretically has a bit more reserve, but it also powers a larger 8-inch screen, so the real usage time of both phones will be very similar.

It’s worth remembering that foldables with large screens tend to consume power quickly during intensive multitasking. Both models would benefit from a wireless charger on the desk and a power bank in the backpack for a longer day out.

Design and dimensions: slimmer Ultra vs lighter Z Fold 8

An interesting paradox. The Z Fold 8 Ultra is thinner (8.9 mm when folded) but heavier (214 g), while the Z Fold 8 is thicker (9.7 mm) but lighter (201 g).

The Ultra is a classic, tall format foldable in a premium version, emphasizing the thinnest silhouette possible. The Z Fold 8 leans towards a wider, shorter, and more compact design, which is comfortably operated with one hand when folded.

Both phones use a frame and hinge made of Flex Titanium technology and have an IP48 resistance certificate (protection against objects larger than 1 mm and immersion in water, but not full dustproof). It is the same high standard of workmanship in both models.

Regardless of your choice, a foldable phone costing 9-12 thousand zlotys should be secured from day one. Dedicated cases and glasses can be found in the accessories categories for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8. At Home Screen, you can order them with free delivery from 100 zlotys, and the store has a 99.8% positive rating on Allegro and 4.9/5 on Google.

    Software and updates: no differences

In terms of software, the phones are twins. Both run on Android 17 with the One UI 9 overlay and will receive 7 years of system updates.

This is one of the longest supports on the market, so regardless of your choice, the phone will stay with you for years. All Galaxy AI features, multitasking modes, and folding screen capabilities are the same in both models.

Price and variants: how much does it cost to upgrade to Ultra

Ceny w Polsce układają się następująco:

    Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra:
    – 12/256 GB, 9599 zł
    – 12/512 GB, 10499 zł
    – 16/1 TB, 12199 zł

    Galaxy Z Fold 8:
    – 12/256 GB, 8749 zł
    – 12/512 GB, 9599 zł
    – 16/1 TB, 11299 zł

Dopłata do podstawowej Ultry to około 850 zł względem bazowego Z Fold 8.

    • Chcesz najlepszego aparatu i największego ekranu?
    • Cenisz wygodny, szeroki ekran do czytania? Format 4:3 Z Fold 8 sprawdzi się świetnie.
    • Fotografujesz okazjonalnie i liczysz każdą złotówkę? Z Fold 8 daje 90% doświadczenia Ultry taniej.

Conclusion: The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the choice for those who want the absolute maximum, mainly the 200 MP camera and larger screens. The Z Fold 8 is a more reasonably priced foldable for those who only need a good camera and prefer a lighter, more portable design.

    • Ochrona zawiasu: to najbardziej narażony element składaka. Najlepsze etui mają osobną klapkę lub wzmocnienie w okolicy zawiasu.
    • Grubość i waga: Z Fold 8 Ultra po rozłożeniu jest cienki, a pancerne etui potrafi dołożyć sporo objętości. Jeśli cenisz smukłość, wybierz nakładkę typu Airskin lub Air Fit.
    • Magnesy MagSafe / Qi2: a magnetic ring allows the use of magnetic chargers and mounts. The phone itself does not have such a ring. It is only provided by the case.
    • Materiał: TPU is flexible and cheap, polycarbonate is rigid and scratch-resistant, while hybrid constructions combine both. Transparent cases without a protective coating may yellow over time.
    • Podpórka (kickstand): useful with a large screen for watching content without holding the phone in hand.

Spigen: the best protection and the largest selection

Spigen is the number one brand when it comes to cases for foldables. For the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, it has prepared a full range, from armored cases to ultra-thin covers, all with MagSafe magnets.

    1. Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagSafe (225 zł)

Nasz wybór. Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagSafe to dwuwarstwowa konstrukcja (elastyczne TPU plus twardy poliwęglan) z wbudowanym pierścieniem magnetycznym (Qi2, zgodnym z akcesoriami MagSafe).

    Pozostałe etui Spigen do wyboru

    • Spigen Slim Armor Pro S MagSafe (245 zł), ta sama pancerna ochrona, ale z wbudowaną podpórką (kickstand). Idealne do oglądania filmów bez trzymania telefonu.
Minimalistyczna, z magnesami.
    • Spigen Air Fit Pro MagSafe (149 zł), lekkie, matowe etui z MagSafe. Dobry złoty środek między ochroną a smukłością.

Porada: Skoro wszystkie etui Spigen mają magnesy MagSafe, warto dobrać do nich ładowarkę bezprzewodową z magnetycznym mocowaniem.

    2. Samsung Carbon Standing (429 zł)

Samsung Carbon Standing is an original case with a carbon finish and built-in stand. It provides good protection for the back and an elegant finish, and thanks to the standing function, you can comfortably set your phone for video calls or watching content.

This is the most expensive option in the comparison, but it’s hard to find a case better suited for the Z Fold 8 Ultra.

    Other original Samsung cases

    Ringke: the best transparent case

    3. Ringke Fusion (59 zł)

Ringke Fusion is the best transparent case for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra at a reasonable price. It has a rigid polycarbonate back and flexible frames, and a special coating reduces yellowing over time.

Ringke Fusion case for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra transparentRingke Fusion Z Fold 8 Ultra back transparent

If you want to show off the titanium color of your phone while protecting the back from scratches, this is a perfect choice. For 59 zł, you get protection and a discreet look.

    Tech-Protect: best budget

    4. Tech-Protect Flexair Hybrid MagSafe (39 zł)

Tech-Protect Flexair Hybrid MagSafe is the cheapest case with magnets in the ranking. The hybrid, transparent design protects the back and corners, and the built-in MagSafe ring allows the use of magnetic accessories.

Tech-Protect Flexair Hybrid MagSafe case for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra transparentTech-Protect Flexair Hybrid MagSafe Z Fold 8 Ultra view of magnets

For 39 zł, it’s hard to find a better price-to-quality ratio. This is proof that good protection doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

    Other Tech-Protect cases

Which case to choose for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra?

The choice depends on what you value the most:

    • Maximum protection: Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagSafe (225 zł) or the version with a stand Pro S (245 zł).
    • Cheapest: Tech-Protect Flexair Hybrid (29 zł) or the version with MagSafe (39 zł).
    • Transparent: Ringke Fusion (59 zł) or Samsung Clear (199 zł), if you want the original.
    • Original Samsung with a stand: Carbon Standing (429 zł).
    • Ultracienkie: Spigen Airskin MagSafe (119 zł).

Wniosek: Dla większości użytkowników najlepszym etui do Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra jest Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagSafe. Łączy pancerną ochronę z magnesami i smukłą sylwetką.

What transparent case for Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra?

The best transparent case is the Ringke Fusion (59 zł) with a yellowing-resistant coating. A cheaper alternative is the Tech-Protect Flexair Hybrid, and the original is the Samsung Clear.

Does the case protect the hinge and the foldable screen?

A good case, like the Spigen Slim Armor Pro, has a hinge system designed for folding and solidly protects the back and corners. The inner screen itself is not covered by the case, so it’s worth adding glass or a film to the outer screen and a camera cover.
