Huawei Watch GT 7 has the same case dimensions, the same screen, the same sensors, and the same battery life in days as the GT 6. The novelties are mainly software-related: an expanded skiing mode with slope maps, ascent planning for cyclists, a new EasyCross strap, and new frame designs around the screen.

- GT 7 41 mm: smaller version with a 1.32-inch screen.

W polskim sklepie Huawei 12 października GT 7 kosztował w promocji od 999 zł, a GT 7 Pro od 1499 zł. GT 6 można kupić u Huawei za około 900–950 zł, a GT 6 Pro za 1399 zł.

Tu jest największe zaskoczenie. Wymiary koperty są identyczne we wszystkich trzech rozmiarach, co do setnej części milimetra. Ekrany mają tę samą przekątną, rozdzielczość 466 × 466 i jasność do 3000 nitów.
The list of sensors is the same, as is the dual-band GPS and 5 ATM with IP69 resistance. Huawei does not announce a new generation of the TruSense heart rate sensor with the GT 7. The Pro versions of both generations have ECG and a certification for breath-hold diving up to 40 m.
The appearance of the bezel around the screen has changed. The GT 7 has a new, clearer bezel pattern, while the GT 7 Pro has a raised ceramic bezel instead of a titanium one with a scale. This matters for glasses and cases, as mentioned below.
Battery: the same days, different numbers with GPS
In watch mode, the battery lasts the same: up to 21 days for the 46 mm and Pro versions and up to 14 days for the 41 mm version.
With GPS on, Huawei reports more hours for the GT 7: 51 instead of 40 for the 46 mm version and 32 instead of 25 for the 41 mm version. However, these numbers come from different tests. The GT 6 was measured in «outdoor sport» mode, while the GT 7 was measured in trail running mode with less frequent screen backlighting. Do not compare them directly.
New features: skiing, cycling, and health
The GT 7 differs from the GT 6 primarily in software:
- Skiing and snowboarding: the skiing mode was already in the GT 6. New are the indoor mode, turn and overload analysis, and maps of over 3000 ski resorts in 59 countries.
- Cycling: planning climbs based on routes from the Huawei Health app, warnings about upcoming climbs and sharp turns.
- GPS Accuracy: a new algorithm that, according to Huawei, draws a route in fast winter sports 20% more accurately than the GT 6.
- Health: physical readiness indicator, TruSleep 5.0, and new health analysis features.
- Golf in Pro: distances considering terrain slope. Maps of over 17,000 courses are also available in the GT 6 Pro.

Some features, including skiing modes and turn alerts, are provided by Huawei in updates. Not all work in every country.
If you have an iPhone, be aware of the limitations. According to the Huawei store, some GT 7 features, including notifications from messengers and replying to SMS, only work with Android. Similar limitations were present in the GT 6.
Does the strap from GT 6 fit GT 7?
The width of the straps has not changed. According to Huawei, both generations have:

A strap from the GT 6 of the same size should therefore fit the GT 7, just like universal straps of 22 and 18 mm with a quick-release. However, Huawei does not directly describe how the GT 7 strap attaches to the case.
For the GT 6, it mentioned the EasyFit quick-release system, while for the GT 7, it only describes the new EasyCross clasp. Before purchasing a new strap, remove the current one and check how it is attached.

The dimensions of the case are the same, but the frame is different, so the case from GT 6 should not be transferred blindly. Especially in GT 7 Pro, where the frame is raised. Bizon released a separate case for GT 7 Pro instead of adding this model to the GT 6 Pro case.

Czy ładowarka z GT 6 ładuje GT 7?
Huawei does not confirm this directly. Both models charge wirelessly through a cradle, and the power supply according to Huawei should be 5–10 V and up to 2 A. In the box of each watch, there is its own charger, and the GT 7 Pro comes with a second-generation wireless charger.
