  • What do we know about the Xiaomi Mi9?

Anyone who is even slightly interested in smartphone news is certainly eagerly awaiting tomorrow. On this day, two completely new devices will be launched, namely the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Xiaomi Mi9. We have already written about Samsung and its expected specifications in the previous article, and today we will focus more closely on the reports concerning Xiaomi Mi9.

In this case, the company has taken a rather interesting and unusual strategy. It has practically provided a complete set of information about its new device through social media. It seems to me that such a move is quite risky, because is there any point in eagerly awaiting the launch if we already know everything about the product before it?

Thanks to the graphics posted online by the manufacturer, we already know that the Xiaomi Mi9 will be equipped with a Samsung AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 6.4-inch diagonal. The maximum brightness is supposed to be 600 nits, and the screen is to be covered with Gorilla Glass and, if rumors are to be believed, is supposed to occupy as much as 90.7% of the entire front panel surface. Interestingly, the screen is also supposed to have a very sensitive light sensor and a new generation fingerprint reader, and the screen itself is supposed to be flat (this, depending on preferences, can be an advantage or a disadvantage). Additionally, Xiaomi assures us of 100% coverage of the sRGB and AdobeRGB color spaces.

In the information about the Xiaomi Mi9 from the manufacturer, we can also find a mention of the octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor with an Adreno 640 graphics unit. It is also known that the device will be available in a configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of user data storage, or 6 or 8 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of internal storage. The most powerful version is to be available in the Explorer Edition version.

The most attractive part of the smartphone, according to rumors, is supposed to be the camera. It has also been characterized on Xiaomi’s social media. The front camera is supposed to have as much as 20 Mpix, but it is not the cause of all this fuss. On the rear panel of the device, under a sapphire glass panel, there is supposed to be a triple camera. The first one is supposed to have a resolution of 48 Mpix, the second 16, and the third 12 Mpix. The 48 Mpix camera gives us a 1/2” sensor and a 6-lens lens with an aperture of F/1.75. The 16 Mpix camera is also supposed to have a 6-lens lens, which in this case is supposed to be wide-angle, and the aperture is supposed to be F/2.2. The last camera is supposed to be responsible for photos with a two-times optical zoom. This one also has a 6-lens construction, and the aperture is F/2.2.

Even such things as new modes have leaked from Xiaomi to the network. Xiaomi has included a “High Quality” mode in the Mi9, which is designed to boost the display brightness by 39%. There is also a “sunny 2.0” mode that improves contrast and comfort of using the device outdoors, and a reading mode in which the color temperature adjustment has increased to as much as 256 levels, and the brightness adjustment is smoother.

The cheapest variant of the Xiaomi Mi9 will be available at a price of 516 dollars (1975 PLN). The Explorer Edition version is an expense of 885 dollars (3390 PLN). It should be remembered that this is a conversion without tax and distributor margins – in Poland, prices will probably be slightly higher.

Is the price of the device adequate to its specifications? This is a question everyone must answer individually. However, I am convinced that the Mi9 will gain many fans.

  • What tempered glass for Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus?

Samsung decided to take inspiration from solutions that companies from the Middle Kingdom have been using in their smartphones for some time now – it’s about the ultrasonic fingerprint reader built into the device’s display. Undoubtedly, this is a great solution that makes using a smartphone easier (try unlocking a phone with your finger in a more enclosed car mount where the reader is placed on the back), while not taking up space on the front of the device. However, some services have reported that tempered glass will not work with the fingerprint reader built into the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. Are you sure?

Tempered glass for Samsung S10 and S10 Plus. What to choose?

One solution to the problem is to use protective films. And many users opt for this solution – due to the cost and ease of installation. There are also people who do not need outstanding protection, and for them, the film is an excellent choice – many of them can “self-heal” in the case of minor scratches. But what about users who don’t like compromises and want to have the Galaxy S10 screen protected by a glass pane?

Versions of protective glass have appeared on the Internet that decided to address the problem and “offer” a hole in the place intended for the fingerprint scanner. It sounds and looks comical, but using a Samsung Galaxy S10 equipped with this type of tempered glass would quickly stop being a funny curiosity and become a nuisance and torture for the finger – if you don’t know what I’m talking about, imagine typing on a keyboard and adjusting your fingertip to the keys located on the edges of the hole.

However, not to paint the world in such gray colors, we have information for you – manufacturers we work with have decided to create accessories that will not have any unsightly holes and will be fully compatible with the fingerprint scanner in Samsung’s new flagships. We’re talking about brands like WhiteStone and T-Max, specializing in the production of protective glass, for which UV-cured adhesive is used for installation. Users of the aforementioned brands’ products are satisfied and consistently emphasize that it is one of the best solutions when it comes to protecting smartphones with curved displays.

tempered glass samsung s10, S10 plus

WhiteStone declares that it uses advanced Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive (LOCA) technology, which is designed to prevent the formation of micro-spaces between the bonded smartphone and protective glass. Thanks to this, the finger sensor can easily detect pressure and read fingerprints. And the brand T-Max, which is a subsidiary of Guangzhou Doho Digital Technology Co., Ltd., announced that it will use Panda glass with a thickness of 0.2mm, which is supposed to be the optimal value in terms of protection and usability of the ultrasonic scanner. It seems that everything comes down to the adhesive – as WhiteStone presents – micro-spaces with ordinary adhesive glass are normal, and UV adhesive spreads and fills all pores and imperfections that are problematic for the fingerprint reader.

Samsung S10 – tempered glass in the Home Screen offer

  • What case for Samsung Galaxy S10/Plus/e?

The premiere of Samsung’s latest devices was one of the most important technological events of the past month. The latest smartphones were presented in three versions – Galaxy S10 – the basic option, Galaxy S10e – the budget version, and Galaxy S10 Plus – the option with the best specifications. Thanks to their parameters, the devices immediately gained many fans who likely decided to purchase the version of the smartphone that suited them best. You are probably now wondering what the market has to offer in terms of protecting these phones. The Home Screen store offers many diverse proposals dedicated to this series, among which everyone will surely find something for themselves. Below we present an overview and specification of the available Galaxy S10, Plus, and “e” cases.

The first case intended for the heroes of the article is Spigen Crystal Hybrid. It is an ideal solution for people who want to protect their device but do not want the case to interfere too much with its appearance. Thanks to the polycarbonate included, the case prevents the effects of impacts on the back of the smartphone, and thanks to the polyurethane, the case perfectly protects the phone from scratches. The product is made with the highest precision and attention to detail, ensuring trouble-free access to ports. However, its greatest advantage is its level of protection – even though it is a transparent hybrid, its thickness copes excellently with the hardships of everyday use.

Another product in our offer that we can propose is Spigen Liquid Air. It is an extremely thin case, but it cannot be said that it provides low protection for the device. It will be a great solution for everyday use because it excellently protects the device from scratches, cracks, or dirt. Moreover, thanks to the material from which the case is made (polyurethane), the case provides a secure grip and excellent adhesion to the hand. An additional advantage of this product is undoubtedly its small thickness, which does not change the comfort of using the smartphone. Interestingly, the case looks as if it is made of many small triangles, making the device look unique.

The next product in our assortment intended for devices from the Samsung Galaxy S10 family is Spigen Liquid Crystal. It is a fully transparent case that will not affect the appearance of the smartphone in any way, while ensuring it is continuously protected from unwanted mechanical damage. Additionally, thanks to the fact that it is made of TPU (polyurethane), it is extremely pleasant to the touch and perfectly fits the shape of the device. An important feature is also that this case improves the device’s grip on the hand, preventing accidental slips of the smartphone from the hand. In our store, besides the completely transparent option, there is also a more feminine version with glitter Liquid Crystal Glitter, making the device look unique and spectacular.

Spigen Neo Hybrid is another product available in our store, whose main task is to protect devices from the Galaxy S10 series. This case is somewhat “unique” as it consists of a back and a separate frame. The back, made of polyurethane, is very flexible and pleasant to the touch. Additionally, the material prevents the device from slipping out of the hand and absorbs shocks. The frame, on the other hand, is made of polycarbonate, and its main task is to bind the structure and stiffen it. Interestingly, it has been designed in a rather unconventional way so that when the device is placed flat, a small gap is created between it and the surface, preventing scratches. A huge advantage of this case is also its excellent and extremely precise workmanship. This type of case can be found in our store in many color variants such as Burgundy (burgundy-pink), Arctic Silver (blue-silver), Gunmetal (black-gray), and Midnight Black (black).

Another case worth noting is Spigen Rugged Armor. Made entirely of polyurethane, the case is not only extremely pleasant to the touch but also excellently protects the device from scratches, cracks, or dirt. The top and bottom parts of the back are styled to look like carbon fiber, giving the case an armored and military character. This is not unfounded, as the Rugged Armor model (like most of the cases presented here) has a military certificate MIL-STD-810.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10e Spigen Rugged Armor

The Spigen Slim Armor case is the perfect solution for people who do not like large, armored cases but still want to solidly protect their device. This case, thanks to being partly made of polyurethane and partly of polycarbonate, perfectly secures the device from scratches, cracks, and dirt. A characteristic feature of this case is that it is equipped with a stand, which allows, among other things, watching movies without holding the smartphone in your hands. Moreover, it is worth appreciating the precision with which the product is made, as it provides the user with excellent access to ports and buttons.

It is also worth taking a look at Spigen Thin Fit, which, as the name might suggest, is extremely slim, yet despite this, it perfectly protects the device from mechanical damage. Thanks to being so thin, it allows for a comfortable grip while not interfering with the dimensions of the device. Precise and meticulous workmanship ensures a high level of satisfaction with the product and easy access to the most necessary buttons, ports, etc. Moreover, the matte finish guarantees a secure grip, ensuring the smartphone does not slip out of your hand.

A very interesting item in our assortment is Spigen Tough Armor. It is a solution dedicated to those who want to solidly protect their device from all kinds of mechanical damage. The case consists of two layers, a polyurethane one, whose task is to mitigate shocks, and a polycarbonate one, whose task is to strengthen the entire structure. This case is also characterized by the presence of Air Cushion technology, i.e., air cushions in the corners, which provide additional protection in the event of falls. Interestingly, the product is also equipped with a stand, allowing you to use your smartphone without holding it in your hands. An additional advantage of these cases is that they come in two color variants, including Gunmetal (gray-black) and Black (black).

Another option from which you can choose the perfect case for yourself is Spigen Ultra Hybrid. As the name suggests, it is a hybrid case whose construction will provide the device with ideal protection. Moreover, many people consider its minimalist, classic look an advantage, as it does not interfere much with the appearance of the smartphone. In our store, this case can be found in Clear (transparent) and Matte Black (matte black) versions.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10 Spigen Ultra Hybrid Clear

The next model dedicated to the Galaxy S10 family is Spigen Silicone Fit, which, like most models, is made of reliable and extremely popular TPU (polyurethane), while what distinguishes this case is that the interior is lined with soft microfiber. It can certainly be said that this model is made with attention to the smallest details, ensuring excellent protection for the device. Moreover, its minimalist design, for those who like simple solutions, will be an additional advantage.

Ringke Fusion is a case dedicated to people who need to protect their smartphone during everyday use. It does not interfere with the device’s design while providing a high level of protection. Importantly, the case fits well in the hand and is adherent to it. What distinguishes this case from others is the fact that the manufacturer, using ActiveTouch technology, ensured fully responsive side buttons. In our store, there is a Clear (transparent) version and Smoke Black (with a smoky frame).

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10 Ringke Fusion Clear

For people who need a higher level of security, an interesting product may be the Ringke Fusion-X case, which is an improved version of the Fusion model. Its characteristic feature is the polyurethane frame, which clearly overlaps the corner rear parts of the case. Thanks to it, the case copes excellently with cushioning possible falls and mechanical damage.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10e Ringke Fusion-X

Ringke Onyx, in turn, is a proposal that may appeal to fans of military, armored solutions, as it is styled to look like brushed metal. In fact, it is nothing more than a perfectly fitting and providing incredible comfort of use polyurethane. Its flexibility but also durability have made Ringke Onyx receive the military certificate MIL-STD 810G 516.6. Moreover, thanks to the special pattern placed on the inner part of the case, this case excellently dissipates the device’s heat. Do you need more proof of the solidity and reliability of this model?

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Ringke Onyx

The only book case type case in our assortment so far is the DuxDucis SkinPro cover. This type of case is designed to protect not only the “back” of our device but also the most important part of the smartphone – the screen. The case is made of very pleasant to the touch ecological leather. Speaking of this case, it is also worth mentioning that it is equipped with an additional pocket inside, where you can store the most important documents. This solution allows you to have all the most important documents together with your smartphone. The case flap also allows for stable horizontal positioning of the device, so you can, for example, watch videos without holding the phone in your hands. The DuxDucis SkinPro case is currently available in our assortment in black and gold.

Case for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Dux Ducis Skin Pro Black

As you can see, we offer you many possibilities for protecting devices from the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Such a wide range of products guarantees that everyone will find something for themselves, regardless of taste, preferences, or needs. • Xiaomi Mi9 and Redmi Note 7 in Poland – is it worth it?

Although Redmi Note 7 and Xiaomi Mi 9 appeared on the market some time ago, they only recently had their premiere on the Polish market. As predicted, there is a lot of interest in these models, and many people are considering their potential purchase. This is evidenced, among other things, by how quickly they sold out on the day of the Polish premiere! What are their specifications? What are the prices? Is it worth buying them?

    Redmi Note 7:

Redmi Note 7 is a smartphone with dimensions of 159.21×75.21×8.10mm. Its weight is only 186 grams. The device is equipped with a 6.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1080x2340px (Full HD+), but you won’t find the iconic classic notch on the front panel. The manufacturer opted for a slightly different solution and placed a teardrop-shaped cutout on the display, which is a nice change, looks aesthetic, and sleek. The screen-to-body ratio is 81.4%.

Redmi Note 7 is it worth it

As for the operating system, Redmi Note 7 runs on the latest version of Android 9.0 Pie with the EMUI 10 overlay. The processor in this smartphone is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with Adreno 512 graphics. The fingerprint reader, which is also included in the smartphone’s design, is located on its back. Of course, the manufacturer also provided the option to use dual SIM and expand memory for files by installing a memory card (no larger than 256 GB). An important specification of this smartphone is also the cameras included in the device. The rear camera is a Samsung Isocell Bright GM1 with a 48 Mpx sensor (first), and the second with a 5MPX sensor. The front camera, on the other hand, has a 13 Mpx sensor.

Speaking of the Redmi Note 7 specification, we must also discuss the device’s memory. In Poland, the available versions will be: 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of file storage, 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of storage, and 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage. And what about their prices? The first one (version 3/32 GB) will be available at a price of 799 PLN, the second (4/64GB) will cost 899 PLN, and the third (4/128GB) will be an expense of 999 PLN.

Xiaomi Mi9 also runs on the latest version of Android software, which is Android 9.0 Pie, with the MIUI 10 overlay.

Xiaomi Mi9 is it worth it

The advantage of this device is not only that it supports Quick Charge 4.0+ technology, but also has Qi wireless charging. The device’s equipment includes conveniences such as Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and NFC. The latter is quite a surprise, as this technology is not often found in Xiaomi smartphones.

As for the cameras, in this case, the manufacturer opted for 3 rear cameras and one front camera. The rear ones include: Sony IMX586 with a 48 Mpx sensor, Samsung S5K3M5 with a 12 Mpx sensor, and Sony IMX481 with a 16 Mpx sensor. The front camera, on the other hand, is a Sony with a 20 Mpx sensor.

Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi Note 7 seem to be interesting propositions with quite reasonable prices. Certainly, more than one Xiaomi fan (and not only) will be tempted by one of the models described above. The question of whether it is worth it, and which model in which version to eventually choose, everyone must answer for themselves. If you decide on one of the models, remember to secure it properly. • OnePlus 7 – what do we already know?

The Chinese company OnePlus never ceases to amaze! The OnePlus 6T smartphone, which is an improved version of the OnePlus 6, has just been released, and the company is already preparing something completely new. OnePlus 7 – which we are talking about – is certainly one of the most interesting launches in a long time. Rumor has it that for this company, it will be a completely innovative model, which is to be presented on May 14.

The dimensions of the OnePlus 7 are expected to be: height – 162.6mm, width – 76mm, and thickness – 8.8mm. Its casing consists of front and back glass and an aluminum frame. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch Optic Amoled screen with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, which is Full HD+. The screen-to-body ratio is likely to be as high as 84.5%, and the material from which the display is made is Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

    OnePlus 7

As for the operating system, the OnePlus 7 is supposed to run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie, with the OxygenOS overlay characteristic of OnePlus devices. The processor that is to be found in the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 graphics. It will be supported by four Kyro 485 Gold cores and four Kyro 485 Silver cores.

According to leaks, the OnePlus 7 will be available in a version with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB for the user’s own files, or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage for files.

An important specification of the OnePlus 7 is also the cameras. On the “back” of the device, a triple camera module is to be mounted, which will include a 48 Mpix camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16 Mpix camera with a telephoto lens, and an 8 Mpix camera with a wide-angle lens. Besides what has already been mentioned, the smartphone is to be equipped with a 4000 mAh battery with 30W charging function, USB Type-C, two multimedia speakers, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm Jack input.

Its specification is also to include a 4000 mAh battery, as well as a triple camera which includes: a lens (f/1.6) with image stabilization, a 16 mpix lens (f/2.2), and a lens (f/2.4). As for the front camera, it is to be absolutely extraordinary. It will be in vain to look for it on the front panel of the device, because according to rumors, it is to be automatically retractable from the top edge of the casing.

  • Xiaomi Mi 9T – will it become a hit?

Xiaomi is a Chinese company specializing in the production of consumer electronics, which never ceases to amaze. Their latest smartphone, the Redmi K20, intended exclusively for the Chinese market, has received a global counterpart. We are talking about the Xiaomi Mi 9T model. What are its strengths and weaknesses? Is it worth attention? I will try to answer these and other questions in the following article.

Xiaomi Mi 9T is available in two versions: 6GB RAM and 64GB of user storage or 6GB RAM and 128GB of user storage. As for colors, it can also be found in two variants: black (Carbon Black) and blue (Glacier Blue). The screen is practically bezel-less, which definitely affects the comfort of working with the device, and nano-holographic technology was used in the production of its “back.”

The dimensions of the device are: 156.7mm (height), 74.3mm (width), and 8.8mm (thickness). Its weight is 191g. Xiaomi Mi 9T has an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.39 inches (Full HD +) and a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels.

This smartphone runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, with an Adreno 618 graphics system. The operating system found in this device is Android 9 Pie, with the MIUI 10 overlay.

Interestingly, this model features a pop-up front camera with a resolution of 20 Mpix and an aperture brightness of f/2.2. The rear camera, on the other hand, boasts 48 Mpix and an aperture of f/1.75, along with additional support from auxiliary cameras. The first of these is wide-angle (125 degrees), has 13 Mpix and f/2.4, the second has 8 Mpix with f/2.4, and the third – the last – has two times optical zoom.

As for other equally important features of the device, it has a 4000mAh battery that supports fast charging technology. A fingerprint reader has been placed in the screen, which has been improved in terms of sensitivity and speed in unlocking the device.

The most important elements of the Xiaomi Mi 9T specification:

    • Operating system: Android 9 Pie
    • System overlay: MIUI 10
    • Screen: 6.39 inches with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels
    • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 730
    • Number of cores: eight
    • Graphics system: Adreno 618
    • Memory: 6GB RAM + 64 GB and 6GB RAM +128 GB
    • Main camera: 48 Mpix and aperture f/1.75
    • Front camera: 20 Mpix, f/2.2
    • Dimensions: 156.7 x 74.3 x 8.8mm
    • Battery 4000mAh

Is the device an interesting proposition? I believe it depends on many factors. Surely there will be a group of people who will buy it, but will it be you? That depends on your personal preferences and needs.

  • What do we know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10?

One of the most influential companies in the world, founded in South Korea in 1938, specializing in consumer electronics, is about to release its latest creation. Samsung Galaxy Note 10, as this device is called, will hit the market in just a few weeks. Interestingly, according to rumors, the manufacturer has decided for the first time in the Note series to release devices in two different versions, just as it did with the launch of the Samsung S10 (to clarify, the models that appeared on the market were: Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10e, and Samsung Galaxy Plus). This time, however, they decided to give the more expensive version a more spectacular, in my opinion, suffix – Pro.

The screen of the new smartphone is a Super AMOLED with a Quad HD+ resolution. In the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the screen is expected to be 6.28 inches, and in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro – 6.75 inches, indicating that the smartphones will be quite large. The screen will be bezel-less, but the cutout for the front camera in this case is supposed to appear in the middle, not on the side, as it was, for example, in the Samsung Galaxy S10. This move will likely find both supporters and opponents, depending on the individual preferences and tastes of the user.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro in the basic version, according to leaks, are expected to have 128 or 256 GB for users’ own files. They will likely appear (basic versions) as 6 GB RAM+128 GB for own files (Samsung Galaxy Note 10) and 8GB RAM+256 GB for files (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro). Interestingly, it is not entirely known what will happen to the SSD card reader, but unofficially it is said that the new devices from Samsung will be deprived of them. Is that good? It depends on the potential buyer, on how many GB their gallery, applications, and other such things will take up. On one hand, filling 256 GB may be difficult, but not impossible. And what then? The user will probably be forced to get rid of some of their files.

The dimensions of the smartphone are expected to be: 162.5 mm in height and 77.6 mm in width. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is supposed to work on the Samsung Exynos 9825 system, or on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The camera that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be equipped with is most likely the one we could admire in the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, which would be a rather unfavorable move, because I have the impression that more is expected from flagships than parameters previously used in other models of the manufacturer. It includes:

    • 12 Mpix camera, f/1.5 f/1.8 f/2.4, 78-degree field of view, optical image stabilization
    • 16 Mpix wide-angle camera (field of view – 123 degrees), f/2.2
    • 12 Mpix with telephoto lens, f/2.4

The battery found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will have a capacity of 4500mAh and will support 45W fast charging technology. The devices are also expected to be equipped with USB 3.1 type C, NFC, LTE, dual SIM. However, it is in vain to look for a 3.5 mm Jack headphone socket there. For some, this is a plus, as it heralds that the company is trying to “chase” the iPhone manufacturer and is focusing on new, innovative solutions, but for others, it is a whim and an unnecessary complication for users. Because why look for and remember an adapter if you can just plug the headphones into the socket.

Samsung offers us new devices in five color variants: black (Prism Black), white (Prism White), pink (Flamingo Pink), silver (Claud Silver), and in some markets – red. These are interesting color proposals, so I can’t wait to see them.

The prices we have to prepare for if we want to buy this model of the device range from 1000-1200 dollars. This is, therefore, in conversion to zlotys, roughly from 3770 PLN to 4520 PLN. It cannot be denied that these are not low prices. It only remains to believe that the devices will be worth such an amount.

Is it worth investing in this device and will the rumors and leaks come true? We will find out soon, as the launch is likely to take place on August 7, 2019.

  • Glass/case for iPhone 11 – which one to choose?

Glass/case for iPhone 11 – which one to choose?

At Tuesday’s conference, the iPhone was presented in three new versions. From now on, last year’s models have been replaced by: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Although these are not revolutionary models, they introduce features related to the camera that were previously unknown at Apple. For the next year, we have to accept the presence of the notch, which has been compensated by an additional number of lenses, a camera angle expansion feature, and night mode. When deciding to purchase a new phone, it is worth not only getting to know its specifications thoroughly but also acquiring accessories that will help protect it.

What do we know about the new iPhone?

    Cameras – the biggest novelty

The iPhone 11, the successor to the iPhone XR, is equipped with 2 12mp lenses. The Pro and Pro Max models (successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, respectively) have one additional camera. The examples of photos and videos presented at the conference show the possibilities of expanding the scenery. The new lenses, wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle, increase the traditional field of view of the standard camera by up to four times. The company describes this as the ability to step back a few steps when taking a photo – while still standing in place.

One of the more interesting features is the ability to smoothly switch the field of view of the cameras while recording a video. This allows maintaining the illusion of a recording shot from several different angles. Apple also prides itself on the best video recording quality among the competition – it has introduced the ability to record in 4K quality while maintaining 60 frames per second.

Another novelty in the new iPhone is the ability to take photos in night mode. This feature allows for clearer and better-lit photos in low light. At the same time, photos taken in this mode look very natural and are not overexposed as they would be with a traditional flash. Night mode takes several photos simultaneously, then merges them into one final photo, retaining the best elements of each. This adjusts the contrast and brightness of individual elements so that the photo looks its best.

The front camera, in turn, uses new intelligent face lighting features, and a slow-motion selfie recording mode has also been added.

The new, reinforced camera system, like the display and the back cover, requires special protection – protection provided by the highest quality cases, films, and glasses.

    XDR Display

Advertised as the brightest display created so far, it is expected to perform excellently even in full sunlight. The maximum achievable brightness can reach up to 1200 nits. Despite its high performance, the display is supposed to be highly energy-efficient – the iPhone is expected to save up to 15% of the battery on it. Moreover, when we watch an image or video with a lot of black color, the display intelligently dims selected pixels, making the visible black even deeper and more natural. The NightShift function is supposed to warm up the colors at night, which, apart from its aesthetic function, is supposed to be less tiring for the eyes and make it easier to fall asleep. For the best screen protection, we recommend buying the appropriate tempered glass.

New chip and more efficient battery

A13 Bionic – both fast and more energy-efficient, which translates into longer battery life. Apple claims to have created a true monster that will handle both 4K video and the most modern games. And games, as it happens, are not particularly associated with Apple products. A13 Bionic is supposed to support the efficiency of all new features, including those related to the camera.

The battery, which is supposed to last up to 4 hours longer, and a charger that allows for fast charging. This is, surprisingly, one of the bigger novelties, as Apple has so far included budget versions of chargers in the sets that lacked this feature.

    Which case to choose?

The front and back of the phone are made of strong, hard glass – no glass is fully resistant to mechanical damage. When choosing flagship iPhone models, we should especially take care of protection. Repairing a broken Apple phone can exceed any reasonable value.

The cases available in our store not only protect the phone but also disperse the energy generated during a fall or impact. Thanks to this, we can stop worrying about accidentally dropping the phone. Spigen’s new products offer the highest quality and excellent protection at an affordable price, and thanks to the variety of models, we can choose the most suitable one for ourselves.

Among Spigen’s cases, there are not only transparent models but also traditional, matte cases. The fashionable geometric pattern prevents the phone from accidentally slipping out of the hand.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid is another transparent case that perfectly prevents scratches. Its non-slip properties ensure a stable grip, so we don’t have to worry about accidentally dropping the phone from our hand.

Not all Apple device owners like to display the apple on the back cover. For such people, one of the Ringke Onyx cases will be the most suitable. Made of TPU, extremely flexible; above all, however, it fits perfectly in the hand. Corners equipped with air cushions perfectly protect the phone, and the case pattern effectively dissipates heat from the smartphone.

Glass – which one is best to choose?

The right protective glass should not affect the touch quality in any way. It should be imperceptible to the fingers. Therefore, it is not worth buying low-quality glass, as we do not want to limit our possibilities with rough glass, visible to the naked eye, or hindering touch. It is worth browsing our offer of tempered glass dedicated to the latest iPhone models and ordering one of them even before purchasing the phone.

  • Huawei Mate 30 Pro is coming

Huawei Mate 30 is coming. What do we know about it? Which case and glass to choose?

At the Thursday conference in Munich, Huawei Mate was presented in three new versions. From now on, older models will be replaced by: Huawei Mate 30, Huawei Mate 30 Lite, and Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This year’s models will feature a significant number of changes and stylistic novelties that will please the eye of many users. The manufacturer plans to focus, among other things, on the glass casing of the phone. A new feature is also the fingerprint reader built into the display.

What do we know about the new Huawei?

    Glass casing

Huawei Mate 30, the successor to Huawei Mate 20, is made entirely of glass. The manufacturer intends to completely abandon both plastic and metal. An additional advantage is that in Huawei Mate 30 Pro, we can expect an IP68 certificate indicating water and dust resistance.

    New fingerprint reader

Another novelty we will experience in Huawei Mate 30 is the fingerprint reader built into the display itself. The screen will still feature a notch, as in last year’s Huawei Mate 20 model. Its size is due to the use of a modern face recognition system.

    AMOLED screen

In this year’s Huawei Mate 30, we will see AMOLED screens produced by BOE. As for the Mate 30 Pro version, the screen is expected to have a diagonal of 6.71 inches. Interestingly, the company has, in a sense, taken a step back, which might make some sense. Specifically, it involves abandoning the QHD+ resolution and replacing it with FHD+ resolution. However, the notch at the top will remain, which will be quite small. Additionally, the screen will offer a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

    New processor and 5G module

Kirin 990 – is the new chip that will power this year’s model. It will be available in versions
4 GB and 5 GB. Additionally, we will experience the
ARM Mali G76 MP16 600 graphics chip. Interestingly, Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be equipped with the proprietary Balong 5000 modem supporting the 5G module.

Camera – the cherry on top

In this area, the manufacturer will offer a triple module in
Huawei Mate 30 and a quadruple module in Huawei Mate 30 Pro. They will feature a wide-angle lens, telephoto lens, standard lens, and a depth sensor. Additionally, we will experience a 10x zoom, which will be a treat for professional photographers.

System – with Android or without?

For a long time, there have been rumors that the next Huawei models will no longer have the Android we know and love. By default, the new models are supposed to run on Android Q with the proprietary EMUI 10 overlay. Although it will most likely not have access to Google services, the manufacturer will probably bypass this by using the AOSP module, so most users will likely not notice. There is also an option that a new variant with HarmonyOS will appear in the manufacturer’s sales, being both a curiosity and an alternative to the Android we already know.

    Which case should we choose?

The entire phone casing is made of strong and hard glass. No glass is ever fully resistant to mechanical damage, so we should opt for additional protection.

The available cases in our store not only cover the phone but also protect it from the effects of falls and impacts. In anticipation of the premiere, we have prepared a range of cases and protective glasses, which will soon be revealed in the following categories:

    Mate 30

    Mate 30 Pro

    Mate 30 Lite

Protective glass – an essential element

Properly selected protective glass should not affect the use of the phone in any way. It should be imperceptible to the touch. Therefore, we do not recommend buying low-quality glass, as it may not sufficiently protect our phone. It is worth browsing our offer of tempered glass dedicated to the latest Huawei models immediately after the premiere and ordering one of them before we even own the device.

    Which Case for AirPods Pro?

When asking yourself this question, the choice in most cases comes down to two categories: a well-protecting case or a case that doesn’t affect the appearance? This is, of course, an individual matter, but we will try to present you with a few proposals that fit perfectly into these criteria. We hope this will dispel your doubts.

    Rugged Case for AirPods Pro?

When protection is a priority, the best choice will be the Supcase model for AirPods Pro, which combines two types of material – soft TPU and polycarbonate – a hard outer shell. Additionally, the case is equipped with a convenient carabiner that allows it to be attached to a backpack, jacket, or bag. The durability of this model is evidenced by the military standard MIL STD 810G 516.6. Another model meeting the given criteria is the Spigen Tough Armor case for AirPods Pro, which comes in three shades and also has a carabiner. It is the best-known brand in the mobile device accessories market, so you will certainly not be disappointed with their quality. Unlike the Supcase, this model is made from a single type of material – thermoplastic urethane, which absorbs impacts well.

    Something More Personalized?

If you’re not looking for a rugged case and are more interested in light protection that won’t significantly affect the dimensions of your AirPods, we have a few interesting proposals for you. The Spigen Silicone Fit case maintains the original shape of the AirPods Pro charging case while providing scratch protection. This model comes in several color versions, but the most popular is definitely the white version. If you don’t need a carabiner and small dimensions are your main selection criteria, we recommend the Benks TPU model, which comes in a version that matches the iPhone’s Midnight Green color scheme.

If you would like to equip yourself with a transparent case for AirPods Pro, you will also find several proposals at Home Screen. These are mainly the Benks Magic Smooth Case and Spigen Ciel Color Brick, whose undeniable advantage is the matte finish that prevents fingerprints.

We also offer cases for AirPods Pro in feminine versions – Spigen Ciel for AirPods Pro in pastel colors with floral accents and Supcase Cosmo with shiny elements and a stylish strap.
