One of the most influential companies in the world, founded in South Korea in 1938, specializing in consumer electronics, is about to release its latest creation. Samsung Galaxy Note 10, as this device is called, will hit the market in just a few weeks. Interestingly, according to rumors, the manufacturer has decided for the first time in the Note series to release devices in two different versions, just as it did with the launch of the Samsung S10 (to clarify, the models that appeared on the market were: Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10e, and Samsung Galaxy Plus). This time, however, they decided to give the more expensive version a more spectacular, in my opinion, suffix – Pro.
The screen of the new smartphone is a Super AMOLED with a Quad HD+ resolution. In the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the screen is expected to be 6.28 inches, and in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro – 6.75 inches, indicating that the smartphones will be quite large. The screen will be bezel-less, but the cutout for the front camera in this case is supposed to appear in the middle, not on the side, as it was, for example, in the Samsung Galaxy S10. This move will likely find both supporters and opponents, depending on the individual preferences and tastes of the user.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro in the basic version, according to leaks, are expected to have 128 or 256 GB for users’ own files. They will likely appear (basic versions) as 6 GB RAM+128 GB for own files (Samsung Galaxy Note 10) and 8GB RAM+256 GB for files (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro). Interestingly, it is not entirely known what will happen to the SSD card reader, but unofficially it is said that the new devices from Samsung will be deprived of them. Is that good? It depends on the potential buyer, on how many GB their gallery, applications, and other such things will take up. On one hand, filling 256 GB may be difficult, but not impossible. And what then? The user will probably be forced to get rid of some of their files.
The dimensions of the smartphone are expected to be: 162.5 mm in height and 77.6 mm in width. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is supposed to work on the Samsung Exynos 9825 system, or on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The camera that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be equipped with is most likely the one we could admire in the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, which would be a rather unfavorable move, because I have the impression that more is expected from flagships than parameters previously used in other models of the manufacturer. It includes:
- 12 Mpix camera, f/1.5 f/1.8 f/2.4, 78-degree field of view, optical image stabilization
- 16 Mpix wide-angle camera (field of view – 123 degrees), f/2.2
- 12 Mpix with telephoto lens, f/2.4
The battery found in the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will have a capacity of 4500mAh and will support 45W fast charging technology. The devices are also expected to be equipped with USB 3.1 type C, NFC, LTE, dual SIM. However, it is in vain to look for a 3.5 mm Jack headphone socket there. For some, this is a plus, as it heralds that the company is trying to “chase” the iPhone manufacturer and is focusing on new, innovative solutions, but for others, it is a whim and an unnecessary complication for users. Because why look for and remember an adapter if you can just plug the headphones into the socket.
Samsung offers us new devices in five color variants: black (Prism Black), white (Prism White), pink (Flamingo Pink), silver (Claud Silver), and in some markets – red. These are interesting color proposals, so I can’t wait to see them.
The prices we have to prepare for if we want to buy this model of the device range from 1000-1200 dollars. This is, therefore, in conversion to zlotys, roughly from 3770 PLN to 4520 PLN. It cannot be denied that these are not low prices. It only remains to believe that the devices will be worth such an amount.
Is it worth investing in this device and will the rumors and leaks come true? We will find out soon, as the launch is likely to take place on August 7, 2019.
