Xiaomi is preparing another version of its bestselling smart band.
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is set to continue the tradition of offering an affordable, lightweight, and functional device for monitoring physical activity and health. While a revolution is not to be expected, several improvements over the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 will certainly attract the attention of those planning to purchase a new band.
In this article, we check:
- what is already known about the upcoming model,
- when we can expect its premiere,
- what the most important changes and new features are,
- whether it will be worth switching from the previous generation.
When is the premiere of Xiaomi Smart Band 10?
The official premiere date of Xiaomi Smart Band 10 has not yet been announced, but available leaks and ready marketing materials indicate that the premiere is near:
- premiere in China: probably June–July 2025,
- global premiere (Europe, Poland): possibly August 2025 — similar to the case of Smart Band 9.
How much will Xiaomi Smart Band 10 cost?
The price of Xiaomi Smart Band 10 in Europe is expected to be around 40–50 euros, which is 180–220 PLN. This means that the band should be available for sale at a very similar price to its predecessor.
Larger AMOLED screen — subtle visual changes
Screen comparison: Smart Band 10 vs. Smart Band

Xiaomi Smart Band 10 will feature a larger and brighter AMOLED display (up to 1500 nits brightness), which will significantly improve readability in sunlight — this is one of the most frequently reported needs by users. The bezels around the screen are expected to be thinner and more symmetrical, giving the band a more modern look.
However, the design remains quite classic: rounded shape, low weight (15.95 g without the strap), three color options (black, white, pink). Importantly — compatibility with straps from previous generations will be maintained.
Technical specifications and new features of Xiaomi Smart Band 10
What battery is in Smart Band 10?
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 233 mAh — the same as in the previous model (Smart Band 9). The manufacturer claims that the band will be able to work up to 21 days on a single charge, but it is worth noting that this result applies to very economical usage mode.
In practice, when using:
- heart rate monitoring,
- sleep tracking,
- notifications from the smartphone,
- active use of sports modes,
the actual working time will be around 7–14 days, which is still a very good result in this class of devices.
Charging is done magnetically — we connect the cable to the back of the band without the need to remove the strap.

System and compatibility
One of the more interesting changes is the implementation of a new operating system — HyperOS 2.0. It replaces the previous version of the software used in Xiaomi bands.
The new system is expected to bring:
- better performance optimization,
- smoother animations and screen transitions,
- faster app launches,
- potentially more options for customizing watch faces and widgets.
However, it is still unknown whether HyperOS 2.0 will introduce new health features or wider integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem — we will have to wait for these details.
System compatibility remains very broad:
- Android 8.0 and newer,
- iOS 12 and newer,
- collaboration through the Mi Fitness app (previously known as Xiaomi Wear).
Sensors and health features
In terms of hardware, the Smart Band 10 uses proven sensors known from previous generations:
- accelerometer — for counting steps and recognizing movement,
- gyroscope — for detecting gestures and accurately tracking wrist movement,
- electronic compass — useful for outdoor activities,
- ambient light sensor — automatic screen brightness adjustment,
- PPG sensor — continuous heart rate measurement.
❗ Will there be an SpO2 sensor?
One of the unknowns remains the presence of an SpO2 sensor, which measures blood oxygen saturation levels.
In promotional materials, Xiaomi has not yet mentioned this feature, which may mean:
- abandoning it to simplify the design and reduce costs,
- or adding the feature in a software update (which has sometimes happened in the past).
For users who place great importance on health monitoring, the lack of SpO2 could be a downside — it is worth keeping this in mind.
Sports modes and health monitoring
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 will offer a very rich selection of sports modes — over 150. This means that the band will be suitable for both:
- people engaging in classic sports (running, cycling, walking),
- as well as fans of strength sports, HIIT, yoga, fitness, or even niche disciplines.
Improved swimming monitoring
Xiaomi has announced better support for swimmers:
- improved water resistance,
- more accurate algorithms for counting movements and distance in water,
- the ability to track swimming style.
This is good news for those using the band in the pool — Smart Band 9 left something to be desired in this regard.

More advanced sleep tracking
Great emphasis has also been placed on improving sleep monitoring:
- new algorithms for assessing sleep quality,
- more accurate detection of REM and deep sleep phases,
- the ability to analyze sleep trends in the Mi Fitness app.
These are features that are particularly important for users who also use the band at night — not just as a smartwatch during the day.

🔄 What remains unchanged compared to Smart Band 9?
➖ Battery capacity — still 233 mAh, working time up to 21 days
➖ Number of sports modes — over 150 modes, identical to the predecessor
➖ Sensor set — accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, light sensor, PPG sensor
➖ No confirmed new sensors (e.g., SpO2) — situation as in Smart Band 9
➖ Design and weight — classic, rounded shape, approx. 15.95 g without the strap
➖ Strap compatibility — straps from older models still fit
