What are the differences between the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 7 and the Smart Band 7 Pro?

Recently, we compared the Mi Band 7 with the older model Mi Band 6. Today, we will focus on the expanded version of the model, which is the latest Xiaomi Band 7 Pro, and compare it with the basic model of the Mi Smart Band 7.

Xiaomi Mi Band 7 vs Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro
Appearance

The basic difference between the two models is, of course, the appearance. The Mi Smart Band 7 still resembles the so-called “elongated pill,” while the Pro version features for the first time a larger rectangular shape, resembling a standard smartwatch. Its dimensions are 44.7 x 28.8 x 11, where the dimensions of the basic version are 46.5 x 20.7 x 12.25.

Screen

The screen in the Mi Band 7 Pro is a large, rectangular AMOLED display with a screen diagonal of 1.64 and a resolution of 280 x 456 pixels. In the case of the Mi Band 7, it is 192 x 490 pixels, so the Pro version allows for displaying more details in much better quality. Both versions of the watch have an Always On Display mode, which allows displaying available notifications and dates all the time. The brightness level in both cases can reach a maximum of 500 nits.
Battery

It must be admitted that in both cases the battery level is satisfactory. For reference, in the older version Mi Band 6, it was only 125 mAh. The latest Model Mi Band 7 now has 180 mAh, and the Pro version has a cell of up to 235 mAh.

Available Features

The most significant difference between the two versions is the introduction of the GPS module in the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro, which can track our route without the need to connect to a phone, as well as the ability to quickly reply to messages. Both bands, however, have all the basic and most necessary sensors such as a heart rate monitor, pedometer, gyroscope, calorie counter, heart, sleep, and stress monitor, and support over 110 sports modes.

Material

The latest Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro features a metal case (in the case of the standard version, the entire thing is made of plastic). It is available in light gold color and graphite gray shade. All this makes the watch look very modern and can be confidently classified as a premium-level accessory.
Price

This is the last issue we need to mention. The Xiaomi Band 7 can be purchased for 249 PLN, while the Pro version is a more expensive purchase, costing 499 PLN. However, this should not surprise us, as the differences are quite clear between the two versions, and it is up to us which model suits our taste and individual needs better.
