OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro – what might surprise us
Smartphones from OnePlus have been heating up the market since the very beginning of the company’s existence. Let’s recall that the company launched in 2014 with the OnePlus One model, which offered excellent technical specifications. The model, dubbed the “flagship killer,” made headlines even before its release due to its attractive price. The manufacturer assured that for the price of 350 euros, it would release a smartphone that not only matched the then-flagships (costing twice as much) but in some aspects (amount of RAM) would be better than them. Later marketing tactics, such as artificially limiting supply through invitation-only sales, made the phone from this Chinese manufacturer even more desirable.
The latest smartphone from OnePlus.
On March 23, the latest OnePlus smartphones, models 9 and 9 Pro, were presented. The manufacturer continues to focus on the best quality in relation to price. The phones, designed to compete with flagships from other top brands, feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The differences in the screen concern resolution, cheaper 1080p in the more expensive model 1440p, additionally, the 9 Pro display is slightly curved. The performance in both models is powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB and 12GB RAM and respectively 128GB and 256GB internal memory.
Collaboration with Hasselblad
The new flagship from OnePlus made headlines due to the announced collaboration with the renowned Swedish company Hasselblad. The company, famous for its camera optics, is responsible for the best possible color reproduction in the new flagship’s camera. In tests, it performs really well. The smartphones are equipped in the standard and Pro versions with 3 and 4 lenses, respectively:
- 48 MP wide-angle IMX766,
- 50 MP IMX789 with optical image stabilization,
- 2 MP monochrome camera
- additionally in the Pro version, 8 MP non-periscope telephoto lens.

Fast charging technology
Both models are equipped with WarpCharge 65T fast charging technology. Simply put, this technology allows you to charge a 4500 mAh battery with 65W in 30 minutes to full, and 15 minutes of charging should be enough for a whole day. There is also a wireless charging option available. Interestingly, the OnePlus 9 Pro model is equipped with WarpCharge 50 Wireless (50W wireless charging), which means that wirelessly we can charge the battery faster than in many phones via cable. The phone comes with a wired charger Warp Charge 65W, which will be able to charge other devices with a power of 45W. The wireless charger is an additional paid option, available in our online store (WarpCharge30)
The prices of the new OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are highly competitive and range from 3349 PLN for the 8/128 GB standard version to 4699 PLN for the 12/256 GB Pro version. As you can see, this is definitely a premium segment, but the prices are not exaggerated, and in some respects, such as the screen and camera parameters, the latest smartphone from OnePlus surpasses the competition.
