OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro – what they can surprise us with
Smartphones from OnePlus have been heating up the market since the company’s inception. Recall that the company launched in 2014 with the OnePlus One model, which offered excellent specifications. The model, dubbed the “flagship killer”, became famous even before the launch due to its attractive price. The manufacturer assured that for the price of 350 euros it would release a smartphone that would not only match the flagships of the time (costing the other amount) but in some aspects (the amount of RAM) would be better than them. Subsequent marketing efforts, such as artificially limiting the supply, after by invitation sales, made this Chinese manufacturer’s phone even more desirable.

March 23 saw the unveiling of the latest OnePlus smartphone models 9 and 9 Pro. The manufacturer continues to focus on the best value for money. Intended to compete with flagships from other top brands, the phones feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The differences in the screen are in terms of resolution, the cheaper 1080p in the more expensive 1440p model, plus the 9 Pro’s display is gently curved. A Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB and 12GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB of internal storage, respectively, is responsible for performance on both models.
Hasselblad collaboration
There has been a lot of buzz about the new flagship from OnePlus due to its announced partnership with the renowned Swedish company Hasselblad. The company, famous for its camera optics, is responsible for the best possible color reproduction of the new flagship’s camera. In tests, it performs really well. The smartphones are equipped in the standard and Pro versions with 3 and 4 lenses, respectively:
- 48 MP wide-angle IMX766,
- 50 MP IMX789 with optical image stabilization,

- MP monochrome camera
- additionally on the Pro version, 8 MP non-periscopic telephoto lens.

Fast charging technology
Both models are equipped with WarpCharge 65T fast charging technology. In simpler terms, this technology, allows you to charge a 4500 mAh battery with 65W in 30 minutes to full and 15 minutes of charging should be enough for a whole day. A wireless charging option is also available. Interestingly, the OnePlus 9 Pro is equipped with WarpCharge 50 Wireless (50W wireless charging), which means that we will wirelessly charge the battery faster than in many phones via cable. Prices for the new OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are strongly competitive, ranging from £3349 8/128 GB standard version to £4699 12/256 GB Pro version. As you can see, this is definitely a premium shelf, whose prices, however, are not exaggerated and in some respects like screen and camera performance the latest smartphone from OnePlus surpasses the competition.
